I gave the entrance exam and scored 161/300. The cutoff was 141 for the general category so I got selected easily. Then Hostel was provided according to merit and got hostel easily too. Every process is very simple, you have to produce your certificate and marksheets at the time of admission to university and hostel. Admission criteria for admission in undergraduate courses are Intermediate qualified and for postgraduate courses, it is a bachelor's degree. I've applied for other colleges and got selected there too but Allahabad University is a central university & fees is very low and facilities are A grade hence I got admitted here only.

I was interested in geography hence I chose geography subject. There were about 150 students in a section. Faculty members are PhD degree holders & their teaching methods are awesome. If you study sincerely you can pass exams easily.

Many companies offer placement. They are different year to year. Projects vary according to courses. Most are degree courses hence they provide jobs according to eligibility. Many students don't take up jobs as many students here are civil services aspirants.

From final semester students became eligible for campus placement. A lot of companies like TATA visit and good and bright students get placed. Max package can go upto 14 lakhs. My plans are to further study. It got all India rank 20 in internships & 11th zonal rank.

Study in Allahabad University is easily affordable. It's not too much costly, plus there are various scholarships too. I hadn't applied for any scholarships as my mother is in government services. If you get hostels then living becomes much easier. 14000-15000 per year for hostel & 1000-1100 per year fee. Hence one can easily afford.

There are fests in every department and hostel every year. Central library is very huge and a lot of books are available. Classrooms are big and beautiful & well ventilated. There are NCC and sports activities like football, volleyball, cricket etc. There are a lot of clubs and groups like poetry, drama etc, which one can join according to their interest.

24-hour power supply, purified water-cooled water for drinking, a place for washing dishes, bathrooms and toilets are clean, food is of normal quality. You have to fill a form for a hostel and hostels are allotted according to merit. If you don't want hostels you can take PGs too, there are a lot of PGs here.
