Remarks
I applied for Amity University, Raipur, and Indore Institute of Law, Indore. However, I picked Amity University to complete my graduation. Plus, the reason for not attending IIL is that it's an indifferent state, nothing else. So, admission to Amity University was quite an easy process. As I qualified for CLAT and had good grades in 12th, I was even eligible for the scholarship. The admission process here is not that difficult, and they even clear your every doubt before taking you to their college. So, it was quite a good experience.
Course Curriculum Overview
I picked the BALLB (H), as I've always wanted to do this course. Also, they have a great faculty which was another plus point for taking this course. The student-to-teacher ratio here is about 1:10. They use ppts, quizzes, assignments, CTs, GDs, and every other thing to explain subjects to their students. So, I don't have any issue with their teaching methods. Yes, about exams, they are always on time. This is one of those things I really like about Amity, they don't delay on their timetables. And they are not that difficult to pass to be very honest. If you've read properly, then it's quite too easy to get good grades.
Internships Opportunities
There are campus ambassador, student ambassador, content writing, legal intern, research intern, and other internship opportunities. Mostly, you've to get an internship on your own. They just provide you with different notifications and vacancies and help you out with building your resume.
Placement Experience
As far as our course is concerned, there have been no placements till now. As our program is still new in our college. Apart from our course, other courses provide placements. However, I don't have any idea about them. Well, my plan after getting the degree are to prepare for the civil services examination.
Fees and Financial Aid
As I had good grades in 12th, I was eligible for a 50% scholarship. So how it works? Basically, if your percentage in 12th is above 93%, then you're eligible for a 100% scholarship. However, keep in mind that they don't include your optional subjects marks. So, they have a really cool scholarship program, and the fees hike is 10% every year just like any other college. I'm currently in my third year, so I didn't do any internship with a stipend. However, right now as things are starting physically, they will provide us with some internships soon.
Campus Life
Well, here comes the drawback. It is out of the city, so you might have trouble getting back and forth. However, apart from that, they conduct sports fest and annual fest on time, which is a good thing. Various books are also available in the library, so we never had to buy any other books. There are social and cultural groups as well, so it helps in personality development. There are whiteboard and projectors in class, so it's a great thing as well. Plus, all classes are AC-equipped classes.
