Welcome to Sophia college in and out .

I applied for all the top colleges in Mumbai like KC college, St Xaviers, Sophia, Wilson etc. But my preference was to get into Xavier's but as I didn't get my preferred subject combination and so I opted for Sophia college. The admission process in Sophia college is very smooth, after applying for the college from Mumbai university cite if our name appears in the merit list we can go with the needful certificates and get admission.

I opted for Microbiology, as in the evolving world I feel microbiology is going to be a great field to do your graduation as we can even see in the corona time, the microbiologists played a very important role. I would advise it's a great field and will bring a great scope in the coming years. Basically, we have approx 15 faculty members, every faculty member has their individual expertise to teach a particular paper. Most of our lecturers are PhD while few have done their Masters in Microbiology ...As they all are very experienced they have a great teaching technique and is understandable and effective. With the support of teachers it becomes very easy to pass the term exams, they are extremely supportive.

As it's a woman college the fee is quite low like below 10k per annum. There are no campus jobs. But we can pay the fees in instalments so it's not a big deal and if then also a particular student is facing some financial problem they can communicate with the vice principal and they are granted some extra time. At the same time, we even get a free local pass from the college so that travelling charges are nullified.

Our college has Mumbai's third biggest fest per year around September which is known as "Kaleidoscope" it has been a sponsored fest and celebrities are been invited to this fest, this fest extends around a week. Our college has a huge library with more than 10k+ books, journals, research papers etc in every field i.e arts, science,bmm, gk etc. We have n number of clubs like sports club, music and dance club, External affair club, sigma club for science and many more, all of them have an Instagram page and every year new executives are been selected via interview.
