Entrance Preview
I took WBJEE, it is the state level examination conducted by the West Bengal University of Technology. I scored a rank of 14373 in that entrance exam. I opted this particular college because after getting the rank the board starts online counselling and i filled top 10 colleges of west bengal in ascending order and after the first seat allotment.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is so much good. The board has designed the course curriculum in that way each students of every department gets best knowledge about their respective streams. The college has also research department where students and teachers discuss about the new research. This helps students to explore their knowledge in research field.
Internships Opportunities
Yes college provide us internship. The general average stipend is Rs.15,000 . The college partner with many companies where they send us for the internship.
Placement Experience
Every year college calls MNC companies for placements in our college campus and also send us to other college for the pool campus. The first company which comes to our college is Tata Consultancy Service who tooks around 100 students with a package of 3.25LPA. After that Tech Mahindra came which takes 30 students with a package of 2.8LPA.
College Events
Every year our college staffs and students come together to celebrate different events. They are technical events, cultural events, and many management festivals. Apart from studies these are required in the college syllabus so that students don't bored in their life. Alot of students took part in these events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible by us. And those who are not feasible college provide loan facility to them. Many students father is a farmer or local shop , they are not able to pay per semester fee. For them fee structure is expensive. Every year college increase Rs.1000 in our fee structure.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes , every year college brings different banks in our college for those students whose father have not that much money so that they can afford the college fee. I have not taken loan.
Campus Life
Gender ratio is 60:40. (male:female), Each department have their own workshops for practical classes. The culture inside and outside the campus is good and friendly in nature. There is no difference in sex, religion, race ethnicity, gender, we all are students and nothing more. We are same among each other. There is little bit politics in our college, the student which are more interacted with the faculties gets more marks.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network are so good that they help us in any situation. Senior students of this college are in around every field of job. and they help us in getting job, promotion etc.
Exam Structure
The exam structure is not good in my point of view. I heard in many college they took practical exams after the main exam but in our college it is reverse. Which harm us in getting better marks in practicals. But overall it was good exam structure designed by the Board.
Admission
The application process is in offline mode , we have to buy form form nearby form shop worth Rs. 600 and after filling this form we have to sent to the board by Speed post. After sending the form we got the admit card in the month of march and our entrance exam is in the month of april in the respective state.
Faculty
All the faculties are qualified upto M.tech degree and many HOD's are having 10 to 12 years teaching experience. The faculties teach us like that we understand very easily. They also arrange extra classes for those who have doubts. They also took surprise test to check how much we are getting in his/ her class.
