Remarks

I have only applied to the institute of engineering and management college Kolkata. As I was very much confident and focused on where I want to go and what course I want to pursue. So after filling up the form, I got a call from the college then PI round was held for me and few questions were asked to my mother as well regarding me at that point time next when you get shortlisted we get a call from the college and email confirmation. The criteria were 60% 10+2 and PI.

Course Curriculum Overview

I wanted to do a professional course rather than a normal general course so I opted for BBA(H). The boy's ratio was more than girls. The faculty over there was amazing most of them are experienced in the academic field and PhD. There were internal exams and you were required to have more than 50% so then only you can seat for the external exam. Attendance is also required more than 90%.

Internships Opportunities

They give tvs credit service ltd, bajaj auto finance, pantaloons, wow momo, they provide vast opportunities for internships. In this, you will get all kinds of knowledge regarding the course and experience of handling customers and data entry and financial services as well.

Placement Experience

From the 5th semester you can opt for placement, the companies that come for placement is concentric, TCS, bajaj, decathlon etc, the highest package was 5 lakh p.a and average 3lakh. 97% of students get placed. I planned to go for work experience and after that higher education.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fees are going on currently, so I guess it's okay. it's not much and there is not so much extra cost included. they provide internships as well mostly non paid for experience and campus placements happen where you get the package from 3lakh to 5 lakh PA.

Campus Life

Yes, the college campus life was really good. you will get many fest and many programmes and table tennis carom and basketball tournaments and football as well. course and cultural program are there. books will be provided by librarians. Digital classroom all.

Interview Experience

No, then there was no GD but now they take tests. Basic test based on English and maths. class 9-10 syllabus everyone can pass and you need to score well in that exam to get a call from the college and the further process they will discuss after selection.

Stepping stone to success

Placement Experience:

Now i am pursuing BBA in final year, from the 3rd semester i gotten the opportunity for internship in Godrej. And many companies came here like Honda, Tata, Dhoot Transmission pvt ltd.etc.Atleast 90% student getting placement from here, company came here and selected the eligible students for their organization. - Students become eligible for campus recruitment from the 5th semester. - Around 65% of students get placed during campus interviews. - The highest package offered to the BBA students is INR 4 LPA. The average package offered to the students is INR 3 LPA and the lowest is INR 2 LPA. - The top recruiters who visit the companies are Accenture, EY (Ernst & Young), Wipro Technologies LtdHDFC Bank Pvt Ltd, Deutsche Bank, Amazon.com Inc, Concentrix Corporation, Societe Generale, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland, etc. - But still, improvement in place of recruitment is highly recommended. - I want to pursue MBA after and want to commit to the business.

Positive remarks about college, they specifically take care of everyone they call at home if any student is irregular or not serious about his/her study. So everyone attends classes and lectures a minimum of 75% and teachers motivate students for their all-over growth and performance.

So I take admission through WBJEE in IEM KOLKATA in B.tech in electrical engineering. So now I talked about eligibility criteria:- You should pass your +2 from any board with a maximum of 60% Admission in this college is 3 types WBJEE, JEE MAIN, IEMJEE all three forms you will get notified by college dunia if you have an account in it. So the IEM KOLKATA is one of the best private colleges in Kolkata and you can say in India also so the cuttoff goes very high you have to get minimum rank for this college. Review of My IEM University

When I was searching for the best college to get the admission, some people told me to try for Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM) and after I got admitted to this college, I really understood that I selected the right college. I will always prefer this college because discipline is strictly obeyed in IEM and all the teachers are like parents. In 2019, admission was going on offline and it was held around the month of July. This year, due to covid pandemic, the admission process was held around the month of October and from 2nd November, online education started for the first year batch. According to me, the one and only bad aspect is that every semester, Rs. 65,000 is to be paid by each and every student to continue with their education which is quite high according to me.
