My Review

Our college definitely needs to arrange internal exams more often and should hire some more faculty.

The course is absolutely vocational preparing the students for their future and build a true professional. From the first very day we're taught to present ourselves in front of others. Build up our confidence and so on. I'm not really sure about the placement policies tho the Institute claims to provide best placement.

Our college provides internships overseas such as Dubai, South Africa, USA, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Singapore etc. They've provided good internships to the deservings but many hasn't got the chance for internships. Taj, ITC, Hayatt Regency, JW Marriott, SwissAatel, Novotel many has taken students for internships. I've done my Internship from Taj Bengal.

There are plenty of events organized by our college such as food fests, cooking competition, cake baking competition, cocktail making, international chef seminars, intercollege sports, international cake decoration competition, annual program, annual sports etc.

The payable amount for the course in 4. 25 lakh the college accepts Demand draft and online payment method. We're charged the additional examination fees and registration fee but that is really low. Were no additionally charged for the ingredients used in kitchen or used in practicals.

There is no scholarship opportunities provided by the college, but as far as I know many of the student is helped by the JIS university itself if they're not eligible to pay 60k for every semester.

If I talk about the gender ratio there are definitely more boys in our college and students from many other states as well. Regarding the economic condition many of the students come from a wealthy family and many are depending on student loans. Campus life is quite happening as plenty of events are organized by our college as food fests, cultural programs, sport events, cooking competitions and so on.

No, I'm from Kolkata only and travelling is quite easy for me. I've never been to the college hostel and none of my friend has opt for a room in the college hostel they usually pay for rooms at the nearby apartments. I'm not sure but they might be more affordable for students.

I've always heard that freshers are ragged in most colleges but thankfully our college is strongly against it and we have got really helpful and friendly seniors.

Hospitality sector has always been fascinating for me moreover GNIHM is in the list of most reputed private institutions for Hotel Management that claims to provide best overseas internship and placement in the best hotel chains. As I've done my IET from the Taj group.

Most of the teachers has been associated to the hospitality sector for several years. providing us a clear view of the industry few of them are not from hospitality sector and they're the facilities for ENVS, nutrition, computer application, accounts, english etc.
