Awesome College

So far I believe it is good. But sometimes not spending money in college fests not organising cultural fest leaves a very bad impression of the college administration in the mind of students.

IIT JEE. I scored 186 marks in one of the toughest undergraduate examination that is being conducted in India. But i wasn't able to score a good rank. So as per the placement scenario and branch I opted for MIning Machinery Engineering in ISM Dhanbad. In the end of second year i was able to upgrade my branch to cse.

I feel the course structure is not that much good. We are supposed here to just score good marks. We are not trained are guided to get very good placements and internship. Students are getting internship just because of the guidance of seniors. There are some the very poor subjects that are not supposed to be the engineering curriculum.

Yes. In our college companies come for selecting students for internship. Deserving gets the offer. But obviously not all!!! College doesn't provide internship for each and every student. Stipend depends upon branch also.

Placement scenario is good. I would not say very good but going well. Hope that after getting converted to IIT which has been done, conditions would become much better. In our campus big tech giants like Amazon, Microsoft, Samsung visits. There offer usually vary from 18L to 27L per annum.

Technical fest happened this year, various departments organised there events, but the main thing lacking was DJ night. Last year it was very well organised but this year it was not upto the mark however participation was there from outside colleges. Cultural fest was not organised last year.

Fee structure was feasible till last year but the recent decision by MHRD to increase fees by double is not good. However being a student of second year I am paying fees as per the old format which is also high in comparison to facilities available in the college.

I don't know about loan, but college provides MCM scholarship to all the students whose family income is less than 6 lacs. I have alreday applied for that scholarship.

Gender ratio is very very low in our college. Out of 880(approx) students in my batch their are around 50 girls. Also their were some incidents happened with senior girl students which is unbearable. Also their are students from every part of the country, their are allowed to celebrate their festivals.

In each hostel room there are 2 students. There should be separate almirah for each students in hostel rooms which is not there. Also talking about mess food it is really not good. We are forced to eat the mess food when our wallets become empty. Water coolers should be in the working condition all time.

We have a very strong network of alumni just because of senior junior relationship. Seniors are always helpful in guiding ourselves in projects, exams, internships.

Yes they are frequent. The usual day is very hectic if you appear in all classes and labs, which usually do not happen!!! There are mid sem exams and after that there are lab exams which are followed by end semester examinations. Exams are enough, I don't think more exams are required.

Talking about faculty i believe some are upto the mark but there are some of the faculties that don't deserve to teach in such a prestigious institute. They need to get trained before becoming Assistant Professor in IIT's. Some of them have very good knowledge of their subjects but they don't teach well.
