Remarks
The moment I gave my interview, I was sure that I won't get the college. So I applied to other colleges in DU, that have a single admission process. But with all the surprise, I got into St. Stephen’s College. I didn't flinch to eagerly accept the offer because it's what it is. Not a single day, have I regretted to be in this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is the same as that of other colleges in DU with a little advantage of college professors who have their own style of teaching. So you would get much more than the syllabus. There were around 15 faculty members for 150 students in the department.
Internships Opportunities
There are all types of opportunities from international to national. Institutes like IISERs and IITs are always open for students looking for research internships. Campus cell always works for summer or in-semester internships. I have known people getting an internship with a stipend of around 50000 INR in their first year of economics.
Placement Experience
There are some very good placements from the college but that is course dependent. In my course, around 10 people got placed out of 30. Groups like McKinsey or Bain come to our college for their placements. But again, it's mostly depended on your profile.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is semester-wise which includes everything on campus and your department. There is a number of scholarships, you'll get throughout college, but it's hard to get them. Generally, you don't qualify on the family income criteria. There are no campus jobs.
Campus Life
The campus is the Best in all India. You won't see a more diverse culture anywhere else. The library is nothing to be proud of but it was satisfying for me. At the beginning of your college life, you'll stay aloof most of the time due to these red brick buildings which stay with you all your life.
