Remarks

The Admission process was done online due to the pandemic. This seemed to be an easy process as there was no rush. Whatsapp groups for classes were made by the professors so as to provide us the details. An orientation program was also organized by our college so as to get to know more about our college. Overall everything was great and easy to manage.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I have opted for Political Science Honours. In my department, there are approx 90-95 students. The department has a diverse faculty whose specializations spread across the various fields of political science. LOKSAMVAD’ The departmental society of political science, organizes a wide range of events based on student and faculty interest. Our professors are qualified with Ph.D, M.phil, MA. Going towards the teaching methods I would say that the professors teach in that way so that the students can easily understand the concepts. Our Professors firmly believe in holistic education and constantly strive to achieve this. The faculty use innovative teaching methods to make learning experimental. They also organize trips and visits to places of historical and political importance. Term exams were timely and all the internal assessments were taken very timely and there was no kind of pressure as it was easy to manage. There was no difficulty in passing as I have only been given online examinations till now

Internships Opportunities

4

In 2019-20, the Cell was successful in organizing its first-ever Internship Fair- SAMARTH'19 in October 2019, with 15+ companies and NGOs offering internship opportunities to the students- Sharekhan, Decathlon, Economic Times, Impetus HR Consultants, IGIA, and Umeed being some of the eminent ones. The Cell also welcomed various companies and organizations to provide internship opportunities to students throughout the year. The Cell, in collaboration, with MTV, hosted an internship drive in January 2020 where students got a chance to intern with companies like Ajio, LinkedIn, Swiggy and Xiaomi.

Placement Experience

4

Last year of our course students is eligible for placement. Companies like Delhi NCR company, Techno Tech, Decathlon, Economic Times and so many more companies visit our college. Approx 60-75% get placement. The maximum salary has gone 4 lakhs and the average has gone 1.2 lakhs. My plan after getting the degree is to prepare for UPSC.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is not so high according to me. Its only around 10k per year. OPUS, the Training and Placement Cell of Bharati College, brings various companies in the campus to provide placement opportunities..The Cell also welcomed various companies and organisations to provide internship opportunities to students throughout the year. The members of the Cell are diligent and aspire to bring in better internship as well as job opportunities and training sessions for students in the coming years. The Shri Sultan Chand Dropti Devi Educational Foundation Scholarship is awarded every year to the student who scores highest in B.Com (H) IVth Semester, the student who secures the second highest percentage in the B.Com Honours IIIrd and IVth Semester. The Dr. Usha Aggarwal Tejaswani Scholarship is awarded every year to the student who secures the highest percentage of marks (above 70%) in B.Com Program. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes are awarded scholarships

Campus Life

0.5

I have not gone to college a single time due to pandemic. So i really have no idea about anything related to campus life. But yes, ABHIVAKTI is well known annual cultural festival organized by the elected members of the student council along with the help and support of the governing body and student volunteers. It is conducted in the months of March. Apart from this, there are departmental fests that are organised for us. The library provides every possible kind of journals and books. In sports, the College has extensive fields with a state-of-the art basketball court, a volleyball court, kho-kho and throw ball fields and a fully developed cricket ground. The College offers a number of avenues for personality development and nurturing of talent through extra-curricular activities in theatre, dance and music as well as debates and literary and cultural activities and departmental societies.

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.
