Review for Assam Institute of Management

At first, the advertisement is given on the official website of the college. Then students can apply for the programme. Then the shortlisted students are called for the GP/PI round. Then the selected students get admission. After getting the admission they start the programme with an introductory class where the faculties introduce themselves then after that the students will also have to introduce themselves. Then the regular classes get started.

I have chosen the course because my aim is to get an MBA degree from a good College. The number of faculties is 10. The faculties use various methods of teaching so that they can give their best to the students. The term exams are held every 3 months as the college follows the trimester model.

Internship companies are ICICI BANK, ASIAN PAINTS, MARICO, etc. Sometimes stipends are provided by the companies. The stipend depends upon the company's choice. Students have to prepare various Powerpoint presentations during their internships. The project topics depend upon their internships.

From the 4th trimester students are eligible for placements. Companies visited: ICICI BANK, ASIAN PAINTS, ICICI SECURITIES, SBI LIFE, etc. Almost 90% of students get placed. My plan after getting the degree is to get a good job with a good package.

The internship that is provided by the college is good. Students get a better idea about the job culture during the internships. The jobs provided by the college are of good packages as it almost covers the cost of the course.

Books and journals are available in the library easily. The basic amenities are good in the classroom. The college conducts sports week every year. Every event like fresher's, Saraswati Puja, Teachers Day, etc is celebrated in a proper way.

The topics of the GD are based on practical topics or the general topics or current affairs. Interview questions asked by the interviewers are good as the students can atleast answer them. I prepared by watching various videos of group discussions and personal interviews. Also by reading various articles on the internet.
