Remarks

I belong to obc category. I got 21338 crl and 4859 category rank. For us all admission process was done online. The admission process was simple. Arrange your desired choices in depending order, for suppose the best choices should be in the top choices (at top 1,2....).i got this seat in a special round. All staff was good. I completed my first year a few days back in online mode.

Course Curriculum Overview

I didn't really choose this course. I got this in the special round (last round) so no choice left for me. The teacher-student ratio may be 1:16. All professors are well qualified and teach liberally but somewhat quickly. For us, end sem exams were for 50 marks in 2 hours and questions were quite high in some subjects like basic electrical, biology. For me, I felt tough to write exams.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 62500 per year

Internships Opportunities

Reliance, Amazon, Infosys like many companies offer internships with stipends in so many projects. So many projects were done which include projects on social awareness and reducing global warming, green India, etc.

Placement Experience

Many students opt for higher studies after Btech from here. Almost 75-90 percent of students were placed and many companies visit for campus placements. I was also planning to do mtech after my btech from nit rkl.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees are 62500 per sem. No stipend from college. But students with below 1 lakh income get an exception from paying tuition fees. The intimate about scholarships. I got a scholarship named for (40, 000).

Campus Life

Huge library with all kinds of books. There were so many clubs depending on your interest. Almost 60-70 various clubs were there. Almost many students follow the clubs they wish. No fests were done this year maybe next year. Classrooms were good with trees all around.

Hostel Facilities

We haven't been to a hostel, but as per our seniors, we came to know that hostels were very good. There will be coolers for seniors in all rooms. 1-year students were in different blocks. While remaining students were in mixed blocks. Food will be great some days and worst on some days. Overall you will be satisfied with the food and hostel life. The meal quality is good.

Hostel Fee: INR 75000 per year

Placements are quite good. Thats precisely why i chose this college . The highest offer last year was 52 lpa . Other than that average package is 6 to 8 lpa for cse students . Placement Experience:

After 3rd semester the students are eligible for internship but after 4th sem the students are eligible for Plecement. More the 95% students get the placements. Highest package is aprox Rs.4300000 and lowest is 300000. My plan is for higher studies after getting degree.

ITER SOA is quite intimidating!!

Placement Experience:

IBM, Siemens, Philips and many other companies and even the chio makers and computer makers are also one of the main share holders in placements. For CSE department the average placements are of 15-20 lakhs but for our department the average drops down to 6 lakhs per annum.

So I choose these college over the others because of its relevant name and the hype of this college In India as It is Institute of national importance And also a government backed college and it is one of the most demanded college. So the colleges which I have applied to are DTU, NSUT, Nit Trichy, Nit Warangal, Nit Surat Kal And top 7 iits. No I was not rejected from the other college which I have applied to but the combination of branching and the college value Doesn't satisfied me for taking admission in that colleges. So the admission process for the Nit Rourkela Is that the eligibility criteria is 75% in 12th class And second criteria is to clear the entrance exam which is the JEE mains and also scoring a very good marks in it. Then by the centralised Josaa Counselling student will fill their choices ,lock and get allotments in the upcoming rounds of the josaa counselling. The ending rank to take admission in this college in the EC branch is about a 6000-7000 rank in the jee mains exam for the other state people.
