IIT Mandi from my heart

The institute is famous for it's research work, most important part is the quality of education delivered by the faculty members with the provision of high quality labs and dedicated support for HPC(High performance Computing) which is provided to the students. The environment is suitable for studies since it is situated in the beautiful valley surrounded by mountains in Kamand village in Mandi town. The campus is divided into north and south campus with UG students(mostly with few PG and Phd) residing in North and the PG and PHD students residing in South. Every important facility is provided for academics as well as stay purpose. The hostels are very nice with warm rooms and provided with Table tennis room, laundry and other useful stuff. placement wise also the college is good.The only con is that you can't directly reach here via a train or flight, means we need to catch a cab/bus from the nearest railway station/airport which is most suitably Chandigarh.

The course is comprised of good proportion of lecture and lab work which helps to develop practical approach towards it. The faculty deliver high quality material in the course with a provision of dividing the subjects based on credits eg. 3,4 etc.We also have high quality industrial projects for final year to sharpen up the content we have learnt till date.The exam schedule is well defined by the institute timetable which in some cases can be changed(in case of covid-19 ), the exams are focused on the understanding of the students and focuses on how much a student learnt from the course with it's practical uses. The exam becomes easy for those who are really attentive and have enjoyed studying the course due to which most of the students get good grades.The final verdict is that we can trust the experienced faculties and their content for better shaping of career.

I have not opted for any internship now.The internship opportunity is vast from software developer to machine learning. Most of the domain is covered by these companies. Most of the internship is converted to full time job offer.

The companies frequently visit for internship and job offers. Most of the students selected for internship are given job offer by the same company.Some students focus on higher education and pursue Phd.The companies visit personally and in online mode to conduct tests and interviews.

The scholarship available to the M.tech comes from HRD ministry which we receive timely.The fee structure is not burdening and is minimum an institute could charge depending on the content it delivers.The companies visit frequently for opportunities in the campus.

The best life one can get is here in IIT mandi campus. The most pleasant weather condition is here in the lap of mountain. The college has gyms, bike club, hiking club, music cub, dancing club, robotics club and many more.It is sure that one can find a club of her/his choice.The campus has it's own hospital with good doctor and nurses, it also has sport complex with provision of high quality gym, swimming pool, tennis courts, table tennis room am=nd many more.The best part is the hiking on the mountains on a free day.

Hostel is compulsory for B.techs and M.techs while the Phd's can stay outside on their will.The B.tech and M.tech are provided with hostels which are of high quality. It is laundary room, table tennis room, common hall and provision for electric kettle and iron for day to day task. The mess here is hygienic with high quality food with a variety of dishes throughout the week.The Phds who are married are given a 1 BHK flat which is also known as married scholar's hostel with separate BHK.The hostel with mess is provided at a cost of 26500 per semester.
