MBA from VGSoM, IIT Kharagpur, a detailed review.

Faculty student ratio is 1:8, that's decent.Qualification of faculties is decent, they all are PhDs from top institutes, but the teaching methods are not that good. Exams were on semester basis, and there were mid sems as well. It was easy to pass the exams.

Yes, 100% students appeared were placed for internships, but due to COVID, many had to do unpaid internships. PwC, RevFin, Wipro, Amazon, Tata Metallics, Tiger Analytics etc were the top companies visiting for internships. Highest package was 2.5 lakh Wipro around 50 thousands. Profiles offered were mostly in the consulting domain followed by Analytics domain.

Students appear for Final placements at the end of 3rd semester. PwC, EY, Indegene, Oxane partners, protiviti, Arvind Internet, RevFin, Genpact, ICICI Bank, HCL, OSG Analytics, Axtria, Wipro, Amazon, etc were the top companies visiting for placements. Highest package was 25 LPA by Flipkart, and average was around 18 LPA. Profiles offered were mostly in the consulting domain followed by Analytics domain. 100% students appeared were placed, but the lowest placement was around 6.5 LPA, and lower package jobs were sales jobs.

8 lakh tution fees plus 3.5 lakh as other fees including hostel fees, singapore international exposure program, etc. The fees of VGSoM is less as compared to other B-schools and IIMs in India.The average package for the campus jobs are close to 17 LPA for our batch (2019-21), and companies were mostly in the consulting and Analytics domain.

The annual B-Fest Purvodaya is held in February. Annual day Vinculum is held in March-April. Apart from this, we have Spring Fest, Kshitij and Global Entrepreneurship Summit on campus. We have around 17-18 clubs, committees and societies in VGSoM, and a lot of other societies and clubs open to PAN IIT students.1 huge olympic level stadium, swimming pool and gymkhana are there in the campus. A lake is also there to hang out.

Hostel facilities are good. We have double sharing rooms in the hostel. Rooms are average, 4 sharing washrooms, common between 2 rooms. We have common mess for around 1500 students. Meals are not that good, just average. Breakfast is good.
