My college experience

The admission process was easy. We can get direct admission if we have a score of atleast 90% in the 12th board or above the 90th percentile in JEE Main. We still can choose to give LPUNEST even if we are taking direct admission to get a scholarship upto 90% in the academic fee. I talked to the admission counsellor and she gave me all the details above scholarship and schedule. We discussed my marks and what course I should choose. I availed 35% scholarship on basis of my CBSE board marks.

I chose B.Tech CSE because I had a lot of interest in computers since childhood. That was my main reason for choosing Maths in class 11. I am glad that I pursued my interest. The student-faculty ratio is around 40:1. The teachers are industry experts and vast knowledge. Professor did take our queries each lecture and was also available for our queries after lectures. The way of explaining things to teachers was also good. There are assignments for each subject every two weeks. The Midterm and End term exams were conducted as per the academic calendar, they were Moderate, although Midterm was easier than End Term. The pattern was kinda similar, there were easy questions and some questions were difficult also.

In the 4th year, students can apply for campus placements. Amazon, Lowe's, Google, IBM, Adobe, Bosch, and many more have visited LPU. The total number of companies that visited LPU were more than 800. 7000+ offers were made in 2021. The highest package in 2021 was 35 LPA by Amazon. The average package is around 6-7 LPA. In B.Design 100% of students were placed. Overall combined around 80% of eligible students get placed. My plans after getting the degree is to get placed on campus or pursue M.Tech.

The per semester fee is Rs 98,000. The cost to study is affordable. There is no fee hike. There are many types of scholarships provided by LPU. Students can get scholarships through LPUNEST, 10th or 12th marks and Need-based scholarship is also provided. Students in Sports, culture, bravery awardee, social service also get scholarships. Furthermore, child of retired/serving Army/defence/crpf personnel also gets scholarships. Financial Aid is also provided to orphans and students with certain disabilities. Students can also work on campus to meet their financial requirements.

LPU organises an annual fest name 'Youth Vibe' every year. Total 10 Convocation has been held by Lpu where Honorable President of India Pranab Mukherjee, President of Mauritius, Chancellor of Cambridge University were some of the chief guests. There are more than 20 lakh books in the LPU library and students also get access to some books online. Each classroom is equipped with ACs, CCTV, recording system, projectors and has enough space. The campus has all facilities for most sports like volleyball, cricket, swimming. There are lots and a lot of student organisations in all fields. Paigaam, YUVAA, Ojaswi to name a few.
