Remarks

You will get lots of facility in IISC . Like most vibrant environment for research, helpful faculty members and most importantly, you will be a part of such a institution that tops the university rankings in India and it also has a very good global recognition so if you go to abroad for higher education, you will get lots of preferences.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Very good course structures , continuous assessment are there, you will get practical hand on experience through various assignments and projects that will be given as a homework. Faculties are also well qualified. IISc hired one of the best facilities.

Placement Experience

4

IISc is known for its quality research so placements are less compared to IIT Delhi or IIT Bombay. But it also have very good placement cells . In final year of btech or MTech you will be eligible to appear in campus placements

Fee Structure And Facilities

For phd : 40000 per semester. If you qualify GATE or NET, you will get 31k per month as stipend . There are lots of other scholarships also. I get 31k per month as a stipend as I qualified GATE 2020

Campus Life

4

The architecture of IISc is very unique.you can see British touch as it was built in 1909. Lots of social groups and clubs are also there like drama club, dance club, swimming club etc etc .The cultural fest includes footprints, battle of ground, lasiya etc . There is also a tech fest named as Pravega

The college sponsors cultural and technical events like the annual fest and the tech fest. Usually, the events are conducted between February and April. The college library has a good number of textbooks and references. Students can easily access the textbooks and references. The college classrooms are well furnished with projectors and internet connectivity. Sports and cultural events are conducted within the college campus. Student forums emphasize the importance of teamwork and leadership skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It played an important role in my choice of this course. It provides a good foundation in core subjects and practical learning. Practical experience in the lab and through projects helps in grasping the applicability of theoretical concepts in actual life. It has a well-structured syllabus and promotes step-by-step knowledge. Moreover, the curriculum will help students in their higher studies as well as in practical applications by enhancing their ability to analyze problems. Examinations: It consists of internal tests and end-sem tests. Exams are conducted regularly; they are of moderate levels of toughness; with proper preparation, they can be cleared easily.

Students will be eligible for internships from the fourth sem of their course. There are many big companies who have visited the campus and made really good offers but if you want a good package the level of difficulty to get into this will also be high. The average package for BCA is 3,00,000 per annum. As per University information their placement rate is 91 percent. After getting the degree I'll be looking for a good company to work for and gain my knowledge.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements towards the final semester of their course. Currently, I have only been using the help of my faculty for internship opportunities, since I am not looking for placements. But they have connections with big names in the communication sector, and they often have personalities coming in to give talks and interact with the students. A great number of students opt for placements and approximately 90% of them do end up getting posted at really good companies. Others choose to continue with higher education. My plan after receiving my degree would be to take up a diploma in literature in the UK, while simultaneously finding myself a position at a good publishing house there.

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.
