Remarks

IIT Delhi is one of the prestigious institute of the country and is ranked among topmost colleges in India in terms of research and academics. Moreover, I belong from North India so the location was also perfect and the exposure I could get at metro cities including Delhi and Mumbai cannot be compared with any other colleges. The placement and the previous record of my seniors was also good from IIT Delhi.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum of M.Tech Textile Chemical Processing is 4 semesters with each semester divided into 2 minor exams and 1 major (end sem) exam. The faculty to student ratio is about 1:20. Each faculty member at IIT Delhi is highly qualified with rich industrial and academic experiences having PhD and post- doctoral academic qualifications. The academic schedule is tight but faculty members are very cooperative.

Placement Experience

4

The placement is average to good for M.Tech level courses at IIT Delhi. The students become eligible from 3rd semester for M.Tech courses. For Textiles , the main companies are Vardhman, Trident, Arvind Fashion, Reliance Industries etc. The package varies from 6 to 15 lakhs per annum. Also, there are various opportunities in academics after M.Tech.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of M.Tech course is nominal with about Rs 25000 per semester (slight variation in every semester). It was about Rs 15000 before the year 2017. Since , admission in MTech courses is done by GATE , every GATE qualified full time M.Tech student gets a stipend of Rs 12,400 (fixed) per month. Various other scholarships are available that depends upon the academic performance of the student in his/her respective branches. Generally branch topper gets an option for internship or exchange program with foreign universities which is fully funded under the scholarship.

Campus Life

5

The campus is very beautiful and greenery all around with area of about 320 acres. It consists of CCD , Chaayos, Delhi 16, AMUL cafe and several other canteens and food facilities. The annual fest is Rendezvous, an annual Cultural Festival of about 4-5 days long which is very popular fest and have many events, high participants and artists from various countries. The infrastructure is very high tech having centralized air conditioned classes and equipped with all digital panels in class rooms.

Hostel Facilities

5

yes I have opted for hostel. I was alloted Jwalamukhi hostel at IIT Delhi. Although it was an old hostel and it was maintained very beautifully. The hostel is always clean having washing machines, water cooler at every floors. Every hostel has its own mess facility and other canteen, photo copy and book shop. Also, additional night mess canteen was available that makes the experience of the college memorable. The hostel fees was Rs 30000 per semester including mess fees. The food quality and variety was very good at IIT Delhi hostel.

Acharya Narendra Dev College - [ANDC], Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Biomedical Sciences)
Reviewed on Mar 3, 2026(Enrolled 2024)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course Biomedical Sciences is very interesting as well as challenging, it covers various fields of sciences and has great scope in terms of research. The course connects theory with real world applications in hospitals and research laboratories. A few examples would include, antibacterial testing, PFT, EMG, blood tests, which are commonly performed in hospitals. The course also helps us to pursue our hands in research further by providing us with hands on training for skills such as biostatistics, writing scientific literature, lab skills, etc. A few improvements that I would suggest is the removal of outdated testing methods and practicals from the curriculum that are not essential for the real world currently. The teaching methods are quite good and interesting. The exams are conducted at the end of each semester and are relevant to the curriculum. The practical exams test your knowledge of hands on experience that you've gained while doing lab work. Theory exams are of 3 hours as per usual and test your theoretical knowledge from books and classes mainly.

The highest package of my college is 36 lakh per annum from bcom H programme. The placement is very nice from my collegem the average package is 6.7 lakh per annum and the median package is around 8 lakh per annum which is very good in my views. But if the students is not focusing in his academic then no college can give him placement, it's just a exception. The students become elegible for placements after 2nd year and before 3rd year basically they just got PPO that is preplacement offer. Bain & co. , de shaw , Accenture , oyo, Swiggy. I have a plan of Doing MBA after doing Bcom H form hansraj college
