NITIE - A beautiful journey

Major factors were: Average Package, Location, Alumni Network and FeeGood part is the activities in the campus due to being located in a prime city. However the jobs are more focused towards operations. Not recommended for marketing and finance.Admission process was good specially the induction which was full of fun activities and an opportunity to meet and know everyone in a week.I choose this college on the suggestions of Alumni interaction and based on my deep research on LinkedIn about alumni job profile and growth. After admission I realised, I had underestimated this college earlier.

Faculty students ratio is very good compared to other top B-schools. All of them are Phd or above and have experience as guest faculty in other IIMs and B-schools. Faculties are very experienced in their domain knowledge. Curriculum is rich though more focused towards technology and operations. Academics is lenient and believes on learning outcomes rather than process.

By default an Summer Internship is a part of the course. College provides good paid internship opportunity and ensures everyone gets it. Post summers, one can apply for winter internships, corporate projects and college funded projects.

Placements are good specially in operations and supply chain management domain. In first year, there is summer internship placement and in second year which is 5th module onwards students become eligible for the final placements.

Total fee is around 14,63000 including tution, facilities, hostel charges. It is spread over two years to be paid around 700000 each year. Few students can get upto 50% discount on tution fee depending on their academic performance and financial background.As the college provides good opportunity for paid projects apart from Summer Internship, it is good to manage expenses

Campus is also know as "God's own campus". It is located in Powai and surrounded by Sanjay Gandhi National park with two big lakes around. The residential campus is lush green with all the facilities and one of the best hostels. There's a pond inside the campus which is a common gathering point and spend some quality time in discussion or in relaxing in the nature's lap. Being located in Powai, the night life and clubbing is the best one can ask for.

The hostel is 16 floor building with best facilities. Fresh water supplies, big mess halls, 2 lifts, TV and common areas on each floor. Food is good but one have to pay for it (not included in fee). One cam see the whole city and high rise buildings from one side and lush green campus, beautiful lakes from the other side. It was the best experience as a campus so far.
