NSIT-Place to do your B.tech

Basically, admissions in NSUT are done on the basis of Your all IndiaJEE ranking. Students belonging to Delhi-NCR have 85% seats reserved and for outside Delhi 15%. I had applied for NSIT, DTU, and other colleges whose admission process is undertaken by JAC- Joint Admission Counselling Delhi. My reason for selecting NSUT over other colleges was its placement record. NSUT has a 100% placement record and almost every big company visits the campus and hires students. Also, the programming(coding) culture at the campus is quite healthy and good coders are placed in top most companies. Overall, the admission process is very smooth. CAP rounds and cut-off rankings are displayed online and based on that your admission is confirmed after verifying all the relevant documents.

Top faculty members equivalent to IIT standards are available at the campus. Faculty to student ratio is also decent but since NSIT has acquired university status last year student intake has increased a lot. Mid Semester and End Semester exams are held timely and are easy to pass if one has attended the regular classes and studied fortnight before the exams.

A lot of internship opportunities are available on the campus. Every company which visits the campus hires intern and offer PPO and convert them into full time. If you are good at coding and have a decent GPA you are likely to definitely land an internship for sure.

Students are eligible for internships in their third year i.e from the 5th semester and for placement in the 3rd year i.e from the 7th semester. Almost all top companies visit the company and hire students. 100% of students are placed every year.

Being a technical course the fee structure matches that of IIT'S and would cost you around 1lac (institute fee) + 75000(hostel fee) per year. So it will be around 7-8 lacs for the complete course for which various loan options are available and provided by the banks on low-interest rates. There are various scholarship opportunities available given that you maintain your semester GPA and perform well in your exams.

Campus life is happening and buzzing. You will be constantly engaged in one or the other activites. There are various societies ranging from dramatics to music and gaming. It is just a question of your interest and how open you are to learn new things and be part of them. Every year 2-3 fests are held with great enthusiasm. Moksha is the annual fest of the college, which attracts students from all over Delhi.

The hostel facility is excellent. Single room and double rooms are provided. There are basically 4 hostels for four years. Hostel allocation is done on the basis of your home distance from the campus. Every outside Delhi candidate is likely to get the hostel. It is a great place to make friends and indulges in various hostel activities.
