NSUT College Review

I applied in NIT Kurukshetra in Computer science course but, left it because: 1. NSUT was closer to home. 2. Better opportunities in the DELHI NCR region. 3. Ranking of NSUT is way above NIT Kurukshetra. NO quota. I was in outside Delhi category so, admission for me was very tough and I secured Mechanical branch in a rank of 5434. The admission process was fairly simple, one applies through JOSSA and then waits for their name on the waitlist and I personally got admission in spot round, which was held inside DTU. Overall it was all worth it.

I chose this course as my rank permitted only this course. Faculty: Student ratio is about 1:10 All faculty are highly qualified and way too experienced, but, sometimes one gets stuck with an inexperienced guest faculty. Exams were held very timely and it is easy to crack them if one attends classes regularly and pays attention is classes. As such, I didn't face any difficulties.

One gets an intern from college if he/she is from a computer science background others struggle a bit, but somehow manage to attain a good intern. Stipends are all based on the profile one gets, it is higher for CS people and way too low for non-CS people.

One becomes eligible for campus placements right from Sem 6. Companies like collegedunia, goldman sachs, amazon, hero, zomato, microsoft, google, sprinklr visit the campus. The average package offered is around 6 LPA. 100% batch gets placed. Great college reputation for higher education

My course fee was around 8 lakhs but, there is assistance for people under govt. schemes and people of reserved category (only SCs and STs). I personally didn't get a scholarship or any kind of financial assistance but, was paid handsomely in summer internships that I got through college and I secured a healthy job on campus.

Life on campus is very nice and all facilities like gym and sports activities are also available and are in working conditions. There are loads of clubs and societies to join from dramatics to finance to consulting to race car designing to poetry to astronomy. The campus is also lush green and fun to walk around.

The hostel facility is there. Pros 1. Within the campus 2. Hot water facility is there. 3. Mostly single rooms. 4. Mess is alright. 5. Hygiene is maintained regularly. 6. There are badminton courts in every hostel. 7. Hostel is fully WiFI enabled. Cons 1. Fee is much higher compared to facilities available.
