Remarks

The college is very good but infrastructure should be improved. The management is strict but is nice. The 75% attendance rule should be strictly followed.

Entrance Preview

Took JEE, scored 185 and opted because its one of the best college in India. The clollege is huge and has a nice infrastrure. Also I read on Quora that it has nice faculty and if one wants to learn something, he/she should opt for the college. So i joined NSIT.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure is good. Being a first year i can't comment about research. Since we are studying common courses. But as far as electives are concerned, they are very good. I opted for Business and Communication. Its a course that tells about the importance of communication in business, about teamwork. Also we have been prepared for interview which would take place in our fourth year.

Internships Opportunities

A lot of companies like Delloite, royal bank of scotland, Microsoft, Qualcomm etc. Came to our college for internships with an average stipend of 30k to 50k.

Placement Experience

4.5

I can talk about the current placement scenario. Placement was about 200%(at least 2 offers to everyone who sat for placements) with an average of 6.5-7 lpa. Although NSITs training and placement cell(TnP Cell) have a non-disclosure policy, these figures are more or less accurate. Also we have an absolute scoring scale where 70% means you'll be able to sit for all companies of your branch. And college percentage can only take you so far rest is your knowledge, internships and communication skills.

College Events

4.5

There were various events organized in the college, apart from college social event , there were annual fest, also sports events, These event made us much more sociable. We participated in various events during our freshers week. This help me to make various friends.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was feasible and justifiable if we consider the reputation of college and course structure and all. The fee structure was high just because of the reputation of the college and the facilities provided. I paid ₹125000. But IITs fees was also increased to 2 lakhs so the fees is not very high.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is loan and scholarship facilities in our college but it is very much limited, It applies to two conditions, one social status and second the merit in the exams.Sc and St students receive some scholarship and also toppers.

Campus Life

3

The lab facility is very good, we were engaged in various games, as we got good number of sports grounds and there were coaches as well. Our college participated in most of the national level competitions. The gender ratio is bad as in most enginnering colleges.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel facilities were at par with other hostels, the food was not that good, but was satisfactory, The college campus was pretty much clean, but at times the hostel was quite dirty. According to my friends hostel is very good but food is not good. Also it has facilities like coolers etc but internet is not provided.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are very helpful. They provides various information about course, teacher, societies etc. The seniors came on first day and helped us to know about various things in our courses. Also about various places in and around our college.

Exam Structure

The exam structure was in consideration with the national level engineering colleges and as per the government standards. The exams were very much exhausting but good. The mid sems give less time but 1 day is given for end sem. Also plenty of time is given for practicals.

Admission

The form was filled online, and it was available the next day after declaration of JEE result. The administration was nice and within 20 days all rounds were over and after a month studies started in the college. The rounds were held after every 7-8 days. I got admission in the first round and thus paid the fees. The fees also has to be paid in 2 parts. First after getting seat in college and besfore joining the college.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is really good. If one wants to pursue projects under the faculty, the are a lot of good opportunities. Research papers and technical projects of good quality could be done. They are approachable. The teacher are very good and very helpful.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good especially during recession. You're eligible for placements after 3rd year. After 2nd Year you're eligible for Internships. All Big Companies like Google Microsoft Apple Goldmansachs Mckinsey etc. Highest package offered till now in 2025 is 85LPA (Atlassian) Average of CSE is 17 -18 lpa . almost 53% people get placed in 2025 (recession time). See The degree OF DTU has its value. So it gives you an edge while you go for off campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate here is around 70-75% on an avg in all branches and sometimes even higher. After 1st year only , multiple opportunities starts coming . After 1st year and before 2nd year , basically in summer vacation we have to do a compulsory internship (college also provides) and we are provided a credit for that . Then multiple opportunities like GOOGLE STEP ,amacon internship , etc come.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university doesn't beat around the bush while deciding the courses. They have picked only the subjects and the curriculum that are suitable for our field and focus on making us future-ready. Some subjects might seem a little fast-paced, but if you are consistent enough, you won't face any problems. It is safe to say that the exams and things taught in most the subjects are same to that of its so there is no lacking behind in that aspect.
