Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose this course to explore my knowledge in IT background. The faculty is quite amazing. Everyone is supportive and kind to students. They also guide students if they are weak or they have some doubts. They also support extra-curricular activities for students like they tell students to participate and explore college life in sports, other colleges fests. The student ratio was 60 per class with different faculties for different subjects. The qualification of the faculty are Masters and PhD level some are doing PhD and others have completed their's masters. Teachers pay attention to every student. The exams were term based like we have internals after every 2 months and then after that semester and the practical exam was scheduled. Internals were comparatively easy than other exams.

Internships Opportunities

3

Not many companies offer internships but few of them come and offers internships opportunities for students. Companies give a stipend of 5-10 K depending on the internship work. Internship are in different backgrounds for students to explore.

Placement Experience

4

After Sem 4 students are eligible for placements. Companies such as TCS, Wipro, Infosys, LTI and others visit colleges for placement. Packages vary from company to company it starts from 3.5 L to 4.5/5 L. Percentage of students getting placements are 40-50% . It totally depends on students who want to apply for jobs. My plans are to doing masters in IT and do a job in one of the reputed companies. Also I have cleared aptitude round for Wipro company.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees were 25K per year for 3 years. Since BSC-IT is a 3 year course. There were scholarship opportunities for willing students. Talking about campus jobs so there are many companies that come for placement so in my case Infosys, TCS, Wipro, LTI and several others companies came. And since due to pandemic our college was online in 3rd year so the placement took place online only.

Campus Life

5

Campus is good. We have cafeteria, auditorium, library, quadrangle, key bosh, sports room, MMR room and Seminar room. Classrooms are quite spacious and with AC in our class. Also computer labs are fully equipped with updated computers. Every types of books are available in college library. Student can give of card and take book and return it back. We have a Sports room where we can play indoor games like carrom, table tennis, chess etc For outdoor games we can take football and other things from sports room. Many Extracurricular activities takes place on campus Kiran is the biggest annual fest. There are clubs such as RC KC, NSS, Marathi mandal, SCOPE etc where differents events takes place. They all are run by the students.

Strong academic legacy with expereinced faculties and balanced content- preparing you for future studies and entrance exams and olympiads. very much strict, i would say not needed. somehwere you may experience baised behaviour; but when you are focused on gaining knowledge then these things dont matter as its only a matter of three years. Relevance of course is there but for applying for further studies not for that much for job prospects, if you want atleast a decent salary job.

I have rarely seen companies coming to our college for placement purposes for our course but I have seen companies coming for BCOM and BCA. I don't know about my course as I am currently in my second year. The percentage of students getting placements are veryess as my friend from third year said that out of 150 students only 10 students got placed this year which is very less compared to other colleges. My plans after getting the degree is if I got a job in any of the it company I will do it for experience and side by side I am planning to pursue my education in MSC CS
