Remarks
Well, it is a great college to get admitted to with elite competition among fellow students. I personally was among the top rankers while taking the admission. You will get a seat here by your JEE Mains score only. The closing rank is around 80000 for general and the 10+2 marks should be above 45%.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was in the top-notch CML, thus I got the CSE branch quite easily. There are highly educated teachers and well-equipped labs in my department. All the teachers are mostly from IITs or IISc. There is great coordination between teacher and student. The ratio of faculty and student is around 4 is to 1. Coming towards the curriculum, there are theoretical papers, two mid-semester and one final end semester are taken for evaluation and grading. Passing in this very easy as best score among the two mid sem is selected. For practical papers, the external viva is taken. The overall assessment is fair and not too difficult to pass even if you give small efforts.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like Udany Pvt limited, Tata Steel, Indian steel and wire products limited etc provide students with internship opportunities. Students do participate in google summer code. They apply for various management and content writing job through Internshala and the college esteem bags them the internship.
Placement Experience
Students from the 7th semester are eligible for the placement drive. The institute has an active Training and Placement Cell which works round the clock to secure lucrative job opportunities for its students. As per the placement record of 2018-19, 318 students got placed in various companies. The highest salary package of Rs 10.12 LPA was bagged by a BTech in Mechanical student. Top companies such as Tata Hitachi, Tata Steel, Aditya Birla Group and Wipro visit the campus to recruit students.
Campus Life
A cultural fest like FOYC, BITTANSH. And technical fest like Sandhan, Triveni etc is conducted. There is a central library also where one can easily find almost all required books of their curriculum. Classrooms are well maintained. An annual sports meet is also conducted. While students also participated in various events in other colleges nearby. There are a number of clubs namely Leo club, Model club, ISTE, IETE, Rotaract club, ECO club etc.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is very well-groomed and modified to accommodate students with ease. The rooms are quite big and are offered to 5 students in 1st and 2nd year then 2 students in 3rd year and 1 student in a final year per room. The cost is quite nominal of 10,000 per year for a hostel and is easily available. Although students entering through D2D are offered hostels after 2nd year.
