Walchand College Of Engineering OverAll Review

I have just applied for Walchand College Of Engineering, I have not availed any quota for admission. There are no minimum marks or age criteria. The admission process went very smoothly, there was no counseling day as such but College has provided good facilities.

I was always very excited for learning about Technology and Software Related Things and Thus, I chose the field of CSE. There are about 100 students for one faculty of a subject but faculties are very good and also teach very well. They are taking doubt sessions from time to time and also clears doubts in regular lectures also. Faculties here are teaching for a very long time and almost all faculties have done Ph.D. in their respective fields. Few Teachers are also with Master's Degree but They are also teaching very well. Currently teaching is done online but still, they have managed to make it effective as they can. There are two Semester Exams MSE and ESE, which are taken in 6 months duration and Difficulty of the exam is also good more of practical knowledge and test.

Internships start from the 3rd year itself, Every student is offered an internship on campus. Companies Like Amazon, Dell, Siemens, TCS, and many start-ups also offer Internships to 3rd-year students. Projects will be a major part of your studies in WCE as the project is also given by College and also you will be doing a lot of Projects in the clubs.

I am in the first year of College Currently so I do not know much about Placements, but I have talked to the seniors and also we have been informed by the teachers regularly about placements. Huge Tech Giants Like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, LinkedIn are coming to the campus. This year's highest package was around 43 lacs by Microsoft. The average Package is around 6-7 LPA but doesn't go by the average package as it is the average of all the branches and not just CSE. The average package of CSE and IT is much higher than this.

The Fee is very reasonable as it is a Government college, hostel fees are also very less around 16000 per year. There is Also EBC Scholarship for all those students whose annual family income is less than 1 lac, also TFWS is there for 5% of students of each branch (The Highest CET percentage of Students gets TFWS). Overall, Education cost is very less and also with a Very good reputation and legacy, WCE is climbing the peak towards success. Placement Stats is also very good You can check on the official website stats of each year.

With a Huge 92 acres Campus, Walchand College has got a lot of other activities to do as well along with studies. Clubs Like ACSES, ACM, WLUG, PACE, etc are the most famous ones among all the clubs in WCE. All the Clubs are working on a national level and seniors are very helpful. Almost all the books are available in the library, E-Library is also there but it can be accessed only in the WCE Campus.
