B.M.S College through my eyes

I have heard that B.M.S college of Engineering hold 1st position in B.Tech programs in Bangalore and this university also gives better opportunity of placement than other Engineering colleges . So I have chosen this university. To take admission firstly I have applied for COMED-K exam and appeared for this exam. Finally I got the selection letter through score of COMED-K exam.

I always want to see myself as a mechanical engineer and want to be professional in engineering practice so I have chosen this course. Moreover from this course I got the opportunity of placement. The course curriculum is made in such a way that I have learned to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and Mechanical engineering fundamentals to solve complex problems in engineering. Besides from this rigorous curriculum I have achieved the ability to to apply appropriate tools and techniques and understand utilization of resources appropriately to complex mechanical engineering activities. Teachers here are very helpful and supportive. They provide updated information about the industries. Some of the faculty members are-Dr.B.M.Sarada, Dr. Bheemsa, Dr.G.Giridhar, Dr.H.K.Ramgavittal.

I got the golden opportunity to get placed in a comany named Collins Aerospace with a salary package of 7 LPA. About 90% of my batchmates got placed on the basis of their own skill. The other top recruiting companies are like-Axiscades company, Goldman Sachs., Titan, Hyundai,3Dplm, Zs, Oracal, EY, BOSCH . Some of my friends took preparation for GATE exam.

The total course fees of my course is Rs.916000 and per year tuition fees is near about 2 lakh 20 thousands and others fees is Rs.27150. So per year total course fees is naer about 2 lakh 30 thousands. This is quiet expensive but my university provides some Government scholarship like National Merit Scholarship, Karnataka Minorities Scholarship, Defense Scholarship,Govt. of India Scholarship for disabled students. and some private scholarship like SBM Employee welfare Scholarship,Kadambri Trust Scholarship, G.B.S Trust Scholarship. I did not applied for any scholarship.

My University have a separate block for the library with a volume of more than 15000 books. They provided with a separate digital library, stack section, reading hall, etc. Wi-Fi connection can be accessible for only registered students. There is a very good hostel facility provided with good food at the canteen (mess) but a bit costly. We have 4 canteens inside the campus only, and with an affordable rate, we can get good food. There is also a counselling center from which I got social,emotional and psychological support along with the academic counselling
