Remarks
I applied for Daulat Ram College in the first list of DU and the process of registeration and all was quite easy and smooth since it was entirely online ( 2020- the pandemic year). I took admission in thee general category and one has to score a minimum of 95% to take admission in my course of DRC. The minimum age for the program is 18 years. Though DRC is a girls college but it is located in North Campus and provides lot of exposure like any other college. One has to keep all their documents prepared before hand so that during admission it becomes easy to download them and book the seat in the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty of commerce department is really kind, helpful and highly qualified. We are around 50 students in each class and there are 4 sections of Bcom Hons in 2020 batch. There are around 18 departments in DRC and total of approx.4000 students. The teaching method differs from teacher to teacher but they make sure to take reviews in case students are understanding their teaching or not. We had our internals conducted online which were quite easy if one has attended all the classes.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for BCom hons course is around 16800Rs in DRC which is quite affordable and the fact that it is a North campus college. Scholarships are provided where they refund a part of the college fees and college also provides Financial assistance to the deserving and needy ones too. The college also provides internships from the 1st year of college itself.
Campus Life
Due to the pandemic the batch of 2020 didn't get the opportunity to attend the offline classes nor had the chance to see the campus. But DRC has lots of societies and clubs ranging from dance societies to consulting and marketing societies, and most of them are really active and its easy to be a part of them. DRC annual fest name is MANJARI which is conducted during the Feb end. There is vast opportunities for sports too.
