WANT TO GET INTO A GOOD COLLEGE WITH MODERATE MARKS,HERE'S YOUR ANSWER

1) Applied for all JIS colleges, BP Poddar, Techno India but joined GNIT owing to the fact of better faculty in CSE. 2) No quota applied. 3)75 % marks in HS for direct admission and Rank well within 30k for CSE until Mop Counselling. 4) I got it through AMPAI. I had a rank of 784 and after my HS result got published, I hurried to get admitted with my rank card of ampai and then got admission right away. Initial verification and registration with Rs 20000 were done on that day only.

1) I am a Math and Computer enthusiast. You can say I am tech-savvy. So when I decided to opt for Engineering and as per my marks and rank, I would get CSE right away. So I took this course and the faculty of CSE here is great. So, I like it. 2) Faculty strength of CSE here is almost 20 Student strength is 140 So ratio is 7:1 I think it is quite decent. 3) Qualification of faculty is great. Majority have an M.tech and we have seen faculty taking some holidays to persue their PHD. They have great knowledge and firm grip on their subjects and also have a great capability of making their students understand a topic without any fuss. 4) Term exams are very regular. In fact it is taken too quickly being autonomous they have this power. And the rate of passing is moderate. Neither too hard nor too easy. Practical exams are tough.

1) From 7th semester,students become eligible for placements. 2)Highest package is 36 lakhs per annum and the average is about 4 lakhs per annum which is quite moderate. 3) The name of the companies that visited the campus Tata Consultancy Services Wipro, Samsung, Adolite, High Radius, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Accenture, The only thing students are sad about is the placement percentage.You can say it is a mere 6 to 7 percent with toppers getting 2 to 3 jobs since focus is done only on them. My plans after the degree is too get ready for Placement exams and interviews and also look for Government jobs.

1) The fee structure is almost 4 lakhs for 4 years. Admission takes an extra Rs 20k. The fees compared to other autonomous colleges are quite low for the standard they provide here. 2) No feed hike to date. 3) If you study hard, you can get a scholarship here by the JIS group. Besides that, if you get 7.5 per semester, the SWAMI VIVEKANANDA scholarship is applicable in this college which provides almost all the money you spend on semester fees. 4) High radius internship with a Rs 14000 stipend is given here.

1) The annual fest is Zyzzva and it is the most celebrated event of the college. All students work hand in hand for Euphonius, an inter-college competition along with Zyzzva. High profiles bands and singers are invited here. The tech fest is Tesseract and also a celebrated event. All kinds of tech stuff from Robot fighting, Model display, etc had taken place with coding and gaming competitions also. 2) High range of books and journals are available. The most important thing is that they are mostly up to date. As per stats, our library has about 80000 books. 3) During non-covid times, Cricket, basketball, volleyball, and football competitions often took place. GNIT is a heaven for sports lovers as it provides a large area of lush green patches and fields for playing and chilling. 4) There are coding clubs like BitToByte, cultural committees, and many more.
