Remarks

I have registered at Scottish Church College, St Xavier's college, Rbc college Naihati and kanchrapara college. But I have taken admission on Kalyani Mahavidyalaya because The environment is very good and everyone, my respected teachers and my friends are also very good. They helped me a lot in my studies.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have taken Microbiology because in the prevailing situation of Covid19 Microbiologists are on-demand and I want to pursue my career and become a future Microbiologist. The faculty is just awesome and my teachers are really helpful. Our semesters were held every six months and we have worked hard to achieve success. Our batch has 42 students.

Class Size: 42Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The admission fees of our college were 15000. Then our Semester fees in the 1st semester were 7000,2nd semester was 9000,3rd semester was 7000,4th semester was 4000 and 5th semester was 2000. Total semester fees were 29000.

Campus Life

Our Freshers were held in February and We enjoyed it a lot. Our college library was very good and the librarians were also helpful. Many books were available for our studies. Our department had a projector in which our teachers had shown us Powerpoint presentation.

I wanted to dive deep into the actual concepts and workings of the economy and understand how the world works from an economist's point of view. Sadly the curriculam doesnt bridge the gap between theory and real life. It focuses heavily on textbook and not how the world works.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Physical Chemistry faculties are the best I got, that influenced me to carry forward my research carrier in Physical Chemistry. The curriculum for the Physical and Inorganic chemistry are upto the mark and I felt improvement in teaching style and curriculum is required for Organic Chemistry part. The difficulty of Internal examination can be improved a bit.

It was good to be a part of that college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course is good but you have to opt for masters and PhD to get a good placement. After bsc there's not any placement. The curriculum was basically practical and theoretical based. But I think it should be more practical so that we can get a job after doing bsc. The teaching method was good I didn't have any problem with that. As it was under Calcutta University so the exam questions were too difficult, sometimes it came out of our syllabus , i think they should change this a little bit .

The reality of SCC

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus for BSc. Microbiology Hons. was in line with my interests. Few topics like virology, bacteriology, and diversity of the microbial workd are what drew my attention to pick this course. Although there are some portions which one would consider "boring", but I believe every subject has its interesting as well as boring portions. It's seems fair to judge a subject by seeing if the "boring" portions outweigh the "interesting" parts or not.

In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness of the course curriculum, my rating is solid 4.1 out of 5. Because it offers a variety of courses like compulsory english, environmental science, constitution values of India, Inter Disciplinary Courses where one can opt for a variety of subjects which change along with the course proceeds or semester changes. Not only that two major papers and one minor paper are present throughout the semester. As a student we should be well aware of our country and its law as well as how we can keep our environment healthy followed by sustainable development.

Remarks:

This college is extremely good and known for its discipline and the stress it puts on the importance of studying. Also, there are many extra curricular activities thag one can take part in, and the teachers are helpful and encourages for a better future and are also vert capable. I opted for the course because any biology related course excites me and this college has one of the best faculty for this course.

Firstly, the college was near to me as compared to other colleges. The infrastructure was also good and well maintained.
