Remarks

Total process held on online Eligibility is above 70% mark in Biology in class 12, at the admission time u have to pay 15000 rs, after that, you have to a maximum of 7000 per semester. Total admission done by the online process so, there is no cheating in admission total clear admission done Rating-4.5 Given by me.

I choose this course because it is applied science so I get opportunities in the research field in future The college has 3 permanent teachers, 2 guest lecturer, seat intake for student 45, 2 teachers done PhD, in biochemistry 1 teacher m.sc in bioinformatics, 1 teacher m.sc in microbiology, 1 teacher m.sc in food microbiology.

Class Size: 21Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Admission fee- 14000, 1st sem fee-3000, 2nd,3rd,4th, 5th,6th sem fee -7000/sem. Total approximately 55000. You got concession on tuition fee and lab fee if ur financial condition is poor. U got swami Vivekananda scholarship if u get 65% in every year.

Campus Life

Our college is very much active on all occasions. Freshers, teachers day, Saraswati puja all functions are held from time to time. Our college has sports field at the university of Kalyani campus. Every year a sports function held. Our library is very big, every type of book available here.

I wanted to dive deep into the actual concepts and workings of the economy and understand how the world works from an economist's point of view. Sadly the curriculam doesnt bridge the gap between theory and real life. It focuses heavily on textbook and not how the world works.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Physical Chemistry faculties are the best I got, that influenced me to carry forward my research carrier in Physical Chemistry. The curriculum for the Physical and Inorganic chemistry are upto the mark and I felt improvement in teaching style and curriculum is required for Organic Chemistry part. The difficulty of Internal examination can be improved a bit.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course is good but you have to opt for masters and PhD to get a good placement. After bsc there's not any placement. The curriculum was basically practical and theoretical based. But I think it should be more practical so that we can get a job after doing bsc. The teaching method was good I didn't have any problem with that. As it was under Calcutta University so the exam questions were too difficult, sometimes it came out of our syllabus , i think they should change this a little bit .

The reality of SCC

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus for BSc. Microbiology Hons. was in line with my interests. Few topics like virology, bacteriology, and diversity of the microbial workd are what drew my attention to pick this course. Although there are some portions which one would consider "boring", but I believe every subject has its interesting as well as boring portions. It's seems fair to judge a subject by seeing if the "boring" portions outweigh the "interesting" parts or not.

In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness of the course curriculum, my rating is solid 4.1 out of 5. Because it offers a variety of courses like compulsory english, environmental science, constitution values of India, Inter Disciplinary Courses where one can opt for a variety of subjects which change along with the course proceeds or semester changes. Not only that two major papers and one minor paper are present throughout the semester. As a student we should be well aware of our country and its law as well as how we can keep our environment healthy followed by sustainable development.

Remarks:

This college is extremely good and known for its discipline and the stress it puts on the importance of studying. Also, there are many extra curricular activities thag one can take part in, and the teachers are helpful and encourages for a better future and are also vert capable. I opted for the course because any biology related course excites me and this college has one of the best faculty for this course.
