Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum for Engineering is always up to date with current industry demands. The initial year of engineering comprises of subjects common to all branches of engineering. In the subsequent years the curriculum gets more and more specialised towards the chosen engineering stream.
Internships Opportunities
The college did not provide internship for our course. There was however a period of summer training which the students needed to arrange on their own and no stipend was paid for it.
Placement Experience
The college has a dedicated placement cell, it caters to not only getting reputed companies to come for campus placement drives but also helps students to groom themselves for cracking the selection procedure by conducting sessions for personality development, improving communication skills etc. Reputed companies like Infosys, Syntel, HCL, and even Indian Armed forces have been part of recruitment drives at the campus.
College Events
The college has an annual Cultural and sports even during mid April called GRAFEST. It is a fun filled event with sports, cultural activities , DJ nights, Poetry Recitals and performances done by students and faculties. The sports event has sports like cricket , basketball, races etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure for our batch was cheap for students who had obtained good scores in AIEEE Exams. For the rest it was slightly more expensive. In class of 2002-2006 for Engineering the fee structure was 19000/- p.a for tuition fees. The hostel charges were extra and for Payment seat the tuition fee structure for the same batch was 63000/- p.a.
Fees and Financial Aid
I did not avail of any loans/ Scholarship. Although any student loan from any bank can be availed for the course since the courses are all recognised courses.
Campus Life
The Gender ratio of the college was around 70% boys and 30% girls. The Students are all Indian but from various parts of the country with the majority being from the state of Uttarakhand. There is absolutely no scope for student/ Dorm Parties , and there were no cultural societies etc during our class of 2002-2006.
Alumni/Alumna
The college has a lot of senior students who have been well placed and doing good in their lives. The Alumni network holds regular events to maintain a connect between alumni and the institute.
Exam Structure
Exams were spaced out with only one day of gap between two consecutive exams. The exam time is usually very hectic and not to be taken lightly. Same goes for lab sessions and exams. The lab sessions are conducted throughout the year (everyday a different subject) with examinations at the end of semester and internal assessment throughout the semester.
Faculty
The faculty of the college both resident and visiting are highly qualified. They faculty are alumni of distinguished institutes and a lot of them have contributed to teaching by way of publishing books and papers. The faculty is very approachable and helpful.
