Remarks

Applied to DJ Sanghvi, St. Francis Institute Of Technology, and Atharva College got selected here in the first round so did not apply for any other rounds. I availed Christian minority quota. The admission process was through the MahaDBT portal and only through MHT CET marks. The overall admission process was smooth and fast.

I chose this course especially in this college as it has a great reputation and good placement opportunities. Faculty are highly qualified with some even pursuing their Ph.D. Exams are conducted as per Mumbai University guidelines 2 internals and 1 external exam per semester.

Internships Opportunities

Many companies offered internships but without stipend as it was solely to get industry experience and knowledge. Worked on Python and ML projects to predict if a customer leaves the bank under certain conditions.

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. Many companies like Reliance Jio, TCS, Accenture, Capgemini have visited for placements. The highest package this year was 15 LPA and the average was 3.33 LPA. I plan to go for a job after the degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees have been constant since my admission that is approx 110000 per year. The scholarship is there as per the guidelines of the government. I got many internships but all were unpaid. The cost to study is minimal as there is a shop inside the campus that provides materials at minimum rates.

Campus Life

There are 2 fests annually. Books and journals are available in the library in huge amounts and also apart from the curriculum are available. Classrooms are big and have projectors as well. Top floors have ACs too. There is a TT table, along with many other board games. Also, there are Volleyball and basketball courts. ISTE, IEEE, CSI are some clubs run by the students.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. SFIT the brave,the bold and the pressured

I entered thru cap round which plays a significant role in course eligibility in prestigious colleges , this college was recommended to me by a long stream of family members and it has lived upto a part of its reputation. I didn't get rejected but SFIT my 3rd most important college as I had to check for other better colleges which i knew i couldn't get in as part of a strategy. Eligibility depends on aspects like college minority and minority eligibility in this case Catholic or Christian need to have 65 plus in percentile of CET .
