MY COLLEGE

Most of the faculty members were well qualified thier teaching style was interative with professors using real life case studies and project instead of only thoery few professors went the extra mile in mentoring us for the competitive exams like GATE
The circulum was fairly upadted and industry oriented AI/ML clod IoT etcc in later semester Regular Labs session helped in haining pratical exposures too Guest lecture and workshops were arrange
The placement cell was active and approachable top recuiters visited liek TCS WIPROS INFOSYS AND MANY MORE

Dislikes

WHILE SOME TEACHER WERE EXCELLENT OTHER RELIED TOO MUCH ON SLIDES OR DICTATED NOTES WITHOUT DEEP EXPLANTION
AT THE TIME PAPER WORK FOR HOSTEL BONAFIDE MARKSHEET WAS SLOW AND BUREUCRATIC
SPORTS infrasturcer was decent but could be better maintained grounds courts and indoor arenas

Likes

I like the college campus as it is large and spacious
I like the college crowd as they are friendly and interactive
The college has nice infrastructure and facilities for students

Placement Experience:

From 4 semester onwards the students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies come for placements in our college like tcs, infosus etc. The highest average package was 800000 per anum. Around 40 percent students get placement in our college

SFIT the brave,the bold and the pressured

Likes

Lift access is equal for every faculty and students
Committees eagerness for involvement and interaction with non-committee members
Helpful teachers especially HODs who are but more active and lively than other teaching faculty

Dislikes

Stationary Crowding causing misplaced orders
Lack of cleanliness enforcement and constant need for construction due to mishaps by F.Y.s
Lack of teaching real world skills and ignorance of contribution checking of all students in mini projects

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason why I'd say the curriculum is more relevant is because with increasing years the way to execute code in different environments gets bit more or a lot more complicated. This helps us in real life applications in companies for our future. They could show a bit more practical approach and not small codes like hello world in cloud computing and docker on other operating systems. They exam times are pretty standard for IT engineering.

There is placement that is offered a decent one as compared to other colleges here the placement percent would be 60 percent and my plans would be to sit for the placements but if i cooulnt find my job ill be prefering higher studies

I like my college building,classes,labs.
Canteen is good.it provides good quality food.
Library is best. Very nice management and staff

Dislikes

Canteen is good but they must increase their staff.
Class should be sound proof.noice from outside disturbs.
Stationary staff should be increased and price should be decreased.

Placement Experience:

From sem 7 students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Accenture,Wipro, Microsoft, HyperVerge have visited college. In 2020 highest package was 30 lac per annum by Amazon. Last year only 40% students got the placement. I am planning for competitive exams after degree.

St Francis Institute of technology

Likes

Academically very good college. All activities for working in a company are fulfilled
Helpful nature of teaching and other staff
Strict in terms of submission and exams.

Dislikes

Crowd of students not that good as there are minority students.
Some teaching staff are not good teachers
No ground and need for permission for every small things

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from sem6 for placement. Companies visiting are Tata, Cape Gemini, Tech Mahindra, etc. Highest package was 1.2 cr and average is 4.5 L . Students getting placed are 95%. My plan is to pursue Msc.

The college it good for making lots of memories and friends.

Likes

The environment as we have a lot of greenary around here.
The friends I made as I'm super happy with my college life.
There are a lot of extracurricular activities for 2nd and 3rd year students

Dislikes

Teaching methods as most of the time the lectures are really boring.
Too many assignments or work load, because of which we don't have any extra time.
The college doesn't have ac in all the classrooms only students of 1st year and staff rooms have AC and being situated in Mumbai I think AC are a need.

Placement Experience:

The average placement is not something I'm happy about but overall you can get placed if you work hard enough for it. The companies do come in our college and as it is now an autonomous college we are expecting more companies.

Good and Affordable College but has Strict Attendance

Likes

Supportive Faculty is there with not only knowledge but also have helpful nature
Peaceful environment in college is there so you can sit down and relax in garden
Many events are happening now and then which are very interesting such as hackathons,dance and singing competitions

Dislikes

75% attendance is compulsory so you have to maintain it otherwise your parents might get call from college
You have to pass in internal exams also, if not they will give you a lots of imposition to write.
Curriculum is mostly based on theoretical concepts which is not required by industry

Placement Experience:

From 7th Semester, Students are eligible for campus placements. Companies which visited and also made offers to the students are Seclore, Neebal, Montran, KPMG, Fourth Signal, IDFC First Bank, BNP Paribas, Sportz Interactive, Zensoft, Voltas, Tata Steel, Siemens, Blue Star. Highest package was 10 LPA offered by IDFC First Bank and Average package is around 5 LPA. Around 80% of students are placed till july 2024. Plans after getting degree is to get a good job

Likes

The teachers were interested in taking efforts in order to help students.
The college developed students minds in various aspects other than technical knowledge.
Various opportunities for students to shine and earn laurels for the College.

Dislikes

The classroom were a little bit average .
They can expand the courses offered to the students.
The campus facilities can be improved a little.

Placement Experience:

The students are free to attend placements as per their wish. The college provides placements for students in the 4th year. The college strives to place more than 80 percent of the students. The average placement of the college is 5 to 6 lpa. Also students have been placed for packages of more than 15lpa. Companies like TCS, Capegemini, IDFC, Browser stack, Vodafone etc visit the campus.
