Likes

Academically very good college. All activities for working in a company are fulfilled
Helpful nature of teaching and other staff
Strict in terms of submission and exams.

Dislikes

Crowd of students not that good as there are minority students.
Some teaching staff are not good teachers
No ground and need for permission for every small things

Course Curriculum Overview

The need for upcoming tech companies is being fulfilled. Though Mumbai University does not fulfill our but our college does so. Providing internships, opportunities is being done. Frequency of exams is to fast. We can't enjoy any holidays.

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 130000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I haven't applied to any internship yet. But internships given are from companies such as Accenture, Microsoft, Infosys etc. Projects are not provided . It's to be done ourselves but information on projects are given.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible from sem6 for placement. Companies visiting are Tata, Cape Gemini, Tech Mahindra, etc. Highest package was 1.2 cr and average is 4.5 L . Students getting placed are 95%. My plan is to pursue Msc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees is 129644 for general category. Scholarship benefits can be availed. Tuition fees-108109 Development fee-15189 Examination fees-2288 Caution money-500 University fees-2856 Gymkhana + sports activities -430 Convocation-250 Marks verification -2000 Other-214

Campus Life

Annuals feasts, are Mosaic, Iris etc. Feasts could be better but still they are good. All kinds of books for engineering are available in the library. Sports is average. Clubs are awesome. Facilities for clubs are not good

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is for students of all the colleges including hotel management mba and engineering. Hostel is affordable compared to places in Mumbai. Rooms are two sharing, providing table, cupboard chairs mirrors, attached bathrooms, toilets. Meal is above average.

Hostel Fee: INR 78000 per year

Admission

I took admission from Mhtcet exam. There are 3 quotas you can apply from Cet,jee, management or minority. Cutoffs for Christian minority are too less compared to others. I took admission here as it is strict and academically very good

Faculty

Some faculty are good whereas some are not. The coding teachers are not that good. In a semester 2 exams are being held one being Mid sem for 20 marks and end sem for 80 marks which are being compressed to 40 marks. Curriculum is up to date. Other marks are taken from pratical, attendance and submissions.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. SFIT the brave,the bold and the pressured

I entered thru cap round which plays a significant role in course eligibility in prestigious colleges , this college was recommended to me by a long stream of family members and it has lived upto a part of its reputation. I didn't get rejected but SFIT my 3rd most important college as I had to check for other better colleges which i knew i couldn't get in as part of a strategy. Eligibility depends on aspects like college minority and minority eligibility in this case Catholic or Christian need to have 65 plus in percentile of CET .
