So i joined this college by giving the MHCET , which is the entrance exam for Engineering colleges in Maharashtra. I scored 120 on 200 , which isnt that bad seeing the cutoff that year. I could have got a better college but then i decided to go for EXTC(electronics nd telecom.) which turned out to be a very big mistake.
It took this college from "J&K Migrant" quota .Admission was based on HSc marks and mine were 76.8% .As my rank was low so this was the only good college left ,so, i took this college.
I gave Mh-CET exam and scored 145/200 in it. I got admission in another college for Mechanical engg., but then I had to opt for IT because my family background is of IT engineers and St. Francis is one of the best institutes in Mumbai. I got the admission by normal CAP procedure.
Had taken the MH CET at the time had scored a 90/200 and got into the college as it had a christian quota and is rated as the top 5 mumbai university colleges . Also one of the reason to join was the christian crowd which are well spoken and friendly and also the location is very accesible from station and also the standards of teaching were good .
Overall, my experience was great and it was a good college to study in and placements as well were good. The faculty was the best and they used to conduct extra classes for students which was free of cost. The hostel management as well was a bit strict bu
I opted for Maharashtra CET for engineering. I scored 168/200 for the entrance exam. The college is very popular for its discipline and teaching faculty. I had an added advantage of my nearby residence which actually saved my travelling time.
