Remarks

I took admission to this college in 2020 in the department of Civil Engineering in M.TECH (Structural Engineering). I got admission here through the PGET examination. The admission process was fine. There is no age limit of admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

Structural Engineering is a very common subject whose concept is required in both construction and academic fields for civil engineers. In NIT the faculty: student ratio is 1:15.The faculties are excellent with having experts with industrial and academic experience. The semester examinations and internal examinations are conducted following institute guidelines.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The institute has collaborated with corporate bodies like Tech Mahindra Reliance JIO Infocom CII NASSCOM and other institutes of repute. Students are offered industrial visits to such companies. They get the internship facilities in such organizations.

Placement Experience

The B.TECH students are eligible to attain the campus interview process from their final year. The teaching-learning process makes the students hardworking and they create their own skills. The students are placed in top MNCs like Infosys TCS Capgemini Wipro and many more.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for pursuing M.TECH (Structural Engineering) is Rs 80,000 / year. This fee is very less compared to other private institutes in Kolkata. The financial assistance will be offered to the meritorious students with CGPA of 8.0 and above in B.TECH along with GATE qualification which is an additional preference.

Campus Life

The annual tech and cultural fests are conducted by the institute for the welfare of its students every year. It has an excellent library facility, clubs, and infrastructure. The classrooms are having enough space for 60 students to sit comfortably.

At the end of 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placements. 1000 of company visit campus every year in January and December month. Placement takes place in two form one in December and other in January. Like IBM, puma, ICC bank, Deloitte, ABG, Lenovo, etc. highest package is about 2.68 crore per annum, average 15lpa According to different profiles. Students should have more than 8.5 cgpa for good placements. I will join a good company after completing the degree.

I achived 15000 rank in wbjee so according to my rank and location i choose this college. I visit some more colleges like techno india,brai ware univerty etc but at least all of my criteria matched in this college.
