ONE SHOULD DEFINITELY GIVE KIIT A SHOT! -

I had applied at Amity University, Noida. I didn't attend there first because I got the course specialization of my interest in KIIT and secondly because I wanted to be in proximity to my hometown, Kolkata. To apply for B.tech a student should atleast have 60% aggregate in PCM in the 12th board. And then to qualify for the counselling, the student has to take the KIITEE. KIIT has a 3 day counselling session. Students are invited for the counselling in the college campus once they clear the KIITEE.

I had chosen this course because I had an utmost interest in this course. I also chose it because it expanded the areas in which I could work. There are 30,000+ students and 2500 faculty and research members in 2021. The faculty members are highly qualified. The faculty members hold degrees like B.Ed, M.tech, Phd. The teaching method is student-friendly. There are two semesters in one year. Each semester has one mid-term exam and one end-semester exam. The difficulty level is moderate

A list of certification courses is provided to students from which they can apply in the end of May in the second and third year. The courses that I remember are related to java, python, etc Yes, internship opportunities are available and the outcome is either a permanent job opportunity or a letter of recommendation. The role offered are of trainee or intern.

Campus placements are great. The students are eligible for campus placement from the 7th semester. Approximately 100 companies visited for campus placement in 2017, some of them are Deloitte, Cognizant, Amazon, Microsoft, Infosys, Capgemini, and many more. The current count of the companies visiting for campus placement is 195. The highest package offered in the year 2017 was of 26lac. And the highest package earned in 2020 was 30lac. 85-90% of students get placed every year. I have completed my degree already and I have continued with the company I was placed in.

There is an approximate hike of 11-12% year over year. KIIT provides education to the topper of KIITEE - 2020 ony B.tech (4 years), if admitted at KIIT. Other than that KIIT provides merit scholarship for first position holder in semester examination which varies from 5000INR- 10000INR per month. KIIT provides an opportunity to its students to become lab assistants during the tenure of their college.

There are total 4 KIIT annual fests that are held every year. The tech fest is included in the annual fest only. KIIT has a central library as well as seperate library of every branch, with more than sufficient resourses. KIIT provides classroom amenities like projector, laptop for each student, air conditioner and well maintained desk and chairs. KIIT provides great opportunities to its students to excel in sports. KIIT has its own stadium. All types of sports like tennis, cricket, football, swimmimg, etc are encouraged in the campus. The college also encourages outreach activities like NSS, TEDx, NCC. The college has numerous clubs like robotics club, E-cell, etc. KIIT-ITB is a program started in 2009 that encourages to prmote innovation and entrepreneurship.

Basic facilities lie study table and chair, one cupboard and a bed with other amenities like AC and fan were provided in the room. The menu quality is moderate. Almost all kinds of Indian food was served in the mess. The registration form for hostel is provided with the college application. I will rate 5 out of 10 in terms of affordability.
