About Assam Institute of Management

I've applied for an MBA course at Assam Institute of Management last year that is 2020. The eligibility criteria applying for the course is a minimum of 50% in a UG degree. Selected students were taken personal interview by the 5 professors as well as director sir.

The MBA course at Assam Institute of Management is very valuable. The faculty members are really very supportive of all the students. The sessions taken by the faculties were really productive. Each and every faculty member gives attention to each student separately with a positive reaction. The faculties in this institute have PhD. This course is a trimester system. Three end sem exams were conducted by the University every year. Questions are typical in the question paper but because of the constant support of the facilities, every student gets good and satisfactory marks.

SBI BANK, ICICI BANK, HDFC BANK and other banks provide the role of Deputy manager. Asian Paints provide the role of manager. Likewise, other companies provide job in the Sales and Marketing department like SBI like insurance etc.

Students become eligible for campus placement from the 5th semester. Many companies like SBI, ICICI BANK, ASIAN PAINTS, HDFC BANK etc. comes for the campus placement. The highest package is provided by the Asian Paints with 7-8 lakhs pa. Students securing 60% above can sit for the placement. My plans after my degree are to get a job in the HR department.

The fees structure of this course is Rs 4,05,000 only including all fees as examination fees, books, industrial visits, cultural events, seminars etc. Institute provides internships as well as job placement.

The institute conducts Freshers Day, Farewell, College Week, Sports Week, Holi, Saraswati puja as well as various seminars for the students. There are many books as well as journals in the library. You can find all the books related to the course in the library. The benches, as well as tables, are available in many numbers. The projector was fitted by the institute for presentations and seminars. The college organises various sports events like cricket, football including indoor games as table tennis, chess, carrom etc.

Usually, the institute conducts GD/PI for selection. But last year that is 2020, due to covid-19, the institute conducted a personal interview and a written test. In a personal interview, the questions asked by the professors as well as Director sir were based on the course and current affairs. It was a friendly conversation in the interview.
