Remarks

Too much strict in all things sometimes i feel this is also good.

Entrance Preview

Amrita Entrance Examination. I got 3000 rank and have opted this college as there are good discipline, Education, infrastructure, and Placements.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course Structure is very good. College is following CGPA model in providing grading to students. out of 100 marks in a subject 50 marks are calculated from the internal examination and 50 marks from the External Exams in each semester.

Placement Experience

For the people who scored 6/10 CGPA are all placed in 2012 batch and even for the next batches more than 90 % people are placed.

College Events

Every Year we have college Fest and in middle of each year we have some small events. National Robotic Championship was held in our college during 2012, 2014, 2016.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Now Fees is 1.2 L as Tuition fees and 80k is for hostel. Little bit expensive but placement is guaranty so its with to spend that much amount.

They were good as i mentioned in above section Robotic competition was held in our college. Many Students are sent Inter College sports championships labs are well equipped.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel standards are Good. from 1st year to 3rd Year 1 room is shared by 4 people and in 4th Year 1 room is shared by 2 people. Food is also good. Various food is given to North, South Indian students.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

I did not attend any alumina meetings due to time constraints. so i cant comment on Alumina.

Exam Structure

We have following Exams with percentage of marks given to calculate the final grade for each subject. 1. 2 Internal Exams - 30 % marks 2. 5 Small Tests - 20 % marks 3. End Sem Exam - 50 marks. Total = 30+20+50 = 100 % marks

Faculty is very good. Out of 100 i can say 85 % of faculty teaches well.

Life at IIT Dharwad - What to expect

Placement Experience:

At IIT Dharwad, students become eligible for campus placements right after their 7th semester(i.e. after the start of 4th year) and during their 3rd year, students also have opportunities to sit for internships which can later convert to PPOs. The companies that have visited our campus are Adobe, Amazon, Texas, TCS, wipro etc. The highest CTC offered was 55LPA and average package for CSE is 18-20LPA, and for the core branches is around 10-15LPA. In CSE more than 93% of the students got placed and many of other students opted for higher studies . In the core branches the placement percentage was around 85-88%. After My degree, I plan to go for a Software Engineer role.

Well my subjects are right now, physics, pop(c), java,IME (introduction to mechanical engineering), mathamatics. Well curriculum is great as we got more programming languages and some of the moderate difficulty i would say. And also better exam conduction .

My life in Amrita as an Undergraduate

I applied to PESU in bengaluru, i wanted CSE but got into ECE so i chose AI and DS in Amrita over ECE in PESU. Also fees was lesser in Amrita compared to PESU. I wanted to apply for MIT, bangalore but since the college was very far and the fees was huge i diidnt apply, plus i already got into amrita by then. And since i am from bangalore and didnt want to leave the place i didnt try for colleges outside of bangalore. The admission process for my college is either through the entrance exam conducted by them which is AEEE or through JEE. I got in through JEE since it was better than my AEEE score. with a rank below 3k students might get into slab 1 for any course if they are from bangalore due to local quota....Read More
