Shreya's Review On Lovely Professional University - [LPU], Jalandhar

I choose because I had Biotech as an optional subject in +2. So I build my interest and LPU was the nearest to offer me B.tech in Biotech.

Curriculum was up to international standards .The books referred were mainly of foreign writers' standard books with in depth detail. Practical facility is limited. There are instruments but you may never be able to use many of them as your own will.

I don't know if it provides any internship certainly none in my knowledge in Biotech. May be in the years to come.

This is where LPU is at the forefront. So many fests be it cultural, art, technical, Youth fests etc. Those are fun days. There is lot to eat at LPU. Fests offer you oppotunity to participate in so many different competitions. So that is where you realise your potential the most. There are sports fests for sport lovers. So National level fests also happen so you get to learn a lot.

It is very expensive if you do not find a scholarship. It do not know what more to write but yes it is expensive than many govt universities Hope that can drop down their fee or roll out more scholarship positions so that studies can be made affordable. Hostels are very expensive as well

Yes I availed a merit scholarship but that was only 5000. Now many more scholarships are available which a meritorious student can avail.

I loved the exam structure. The exams are hectic. They will test your knowledge not what you crammed specially if exam is set up by a qualified person. There is no cheating in the exams. Practicals are below par. Nothing to learn to display really.

Some of the faculty are highly qualified but others are just freshers with a little understanding and focusing on cramming. Those who are good will leave the university once they find better opportunity. Some of them already have. Other will stay so that diminishes the quality of education.
