Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is relevant and theory-rich, perfect for higher studies like NET or PhD. It lacks practical-skill based elements. Exams are once a semester- assignments(30%) + online proctored exams (70%). Moderate difficulty if you study regularly.
Internships Opportunities
LPU Online offers internship opportunities through its portal in fields like content writing, digital marketing, and education. Companies like Internshala, Chegg, and local startups offer roles with stipends ranging from 3000/- - 10,000/-. Interns usually work on content, creation, research projects, or social media tasks, gaining hands-on experience and certificates.
Placement Experience
Placements come through the online portal, with an average pacakge of 3 lakh LPA. I plan to prepare for govt. exams ans explore content writing after completing the course. Opportunities are there if you actively apply.
Fees and Financial Aid
I'm doing my MA in English Literature from LPU Online, and the total fee is 58000/- for the full 2 years- around 29000/- per year. At the time og registration they took 10000/- which was compensated with the fees later. Scholarship was offered to me where the fees was deducted by a few thousands- excatly I don't remember. They do sometimes give discounts during admission season. So far, I have completed my 3 semesters and have recently paid 14500 for my last sem. The study aterial is good, lectures are recorded and live both, and the LMS is pretty smooth. It's flexible, and you can manage it along with a job or other studies. Honestly, it's a decent choice if you're looking for an affordable and recognized online degree.
Campus Life
Since my course is online, there's no traditional campus life, but LPU does conduct interactive online sessions and webinar that help you stay connected. If you're near campus, you can also join sports activities and events in person.
Admission
I chose LPU Online on my friend's recommendation without applying elsewhere. The admission was simple- no entrance, just submit documents and pay the fee. Got confirmation quickly. And I must tell their counsellors are super active.
Faculty
Most of our online classes have 20-30 students, and usually 1 faculty handles the subject- so the faculty- to student ratio is pretty decent. They do respond to queries but how approachable they are vaires. Faculty I Liked: Dr Bhawana Sharma (for theory) and Ms. Deepika Malik ( for poetry). They explain concepts and keep classes engaging. But a few others just read slides and barely interact. The course is didvided into 4 semseters with a mix of classics, theory, and modern texts. Exams are held online but strictly invigilated- 2 hours with camera and mic on, and they watch you live. Assignments- 30% and finals 70%
Night Life
Since I'm enrolled in the online mode, I don't stay on campus, so I don't get to experience the typical nightlife or hostel life. But from what I've heard from om-campus students, LPU has gyms, cafeteria, and libraries.
