Balamugunth's Review On National Law School Of India University - [NLSIU], Bangalore

This is the No.1 law school in the country according to NIRF, India Today and all other rankings for law in India. This college acquires the top rankers from the Common Law Admission Test every year and develop them into extraordinary persons in the field of law.

This university possess a different course curriculum when compared to other law schools in the country. It uses a trimester system where 4 courses are taken up in a span of 3 months. As we faced a zero year situation due to the pandemic, we were given 5 courses for our first Trimester. We had courses like Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Legal Methods and Torts. We possess faculty who are extremely insightful and are luminaries at their respective courses. We have a mix of young and experienced professors which help us in having fruitful discussions during the class.

In 2019, 44 students were provided placements on Day Zero and 23 students got pre-placement offers. The highest salary package was 18 LPA and lowest salary package was 12 LPA. Companies such as Bajaj Allianz, DLF Limited, Reliance Power, SEBI, SBI, Tata Motors etc. and law firms such as L&L Partners, AZB Partners, Amarchand and Mangaldoss, etc. provided job opportunities

Unfortunately due to the pandemic, we couldn't enter the campus. But, we have a fantastic user interface which allows us to attend classes, submit projects and apply for extensions and exemptions. We have 14 different Activity-based committees and other non-activity based committees which allow us to develop our co-curricular and extra-curricular skills. We own journals such as National Law School of India Review, Socio-Legal Review, NLS Business Law Review which have been referred by Supreme Court judges in delivering important judgments.
