Remarks

One of the best college in India. The best thing about our college is that we have a really good clinical exposure as our hospital deals with about 10,000 patients daily at OPD, wards and emergency. We do have a super speciality block and a sports injury center to add feathers to our college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is 5 years long with Anatomy, physiology, Biochemistry (1st year subjects), Pharmacology, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic (2nd year), PSM, Ophthalmology, ENT( 3rd year) and Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, paediatrics and some small subjects in final year. Then there is one year for internship to get good clinical exposure.

Placement Experience

5

Opportunities are numberless. You have to give a NEET - PG exam.again a national level exam to qualify for getting a good hospital for post graduation. Yes, my college provides internship with a stipend of 23,000/- INR.

College Events

Annual FestMedsiconSymposiumsFresher's partyFarewell partyVPLLorhi partySaraswati poojaThough there are many events in fest itself. Medsicon is also comprises of many events including conferences, lectures, workshops and many more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's different for different students. There are two types of seats - subsidised and non subsidised.Subsidised fee- 37000/- per annum including hostel.Non subsidised- around 1 lakh per annum including hostel.

Fees and Financial Aid

As the students admitted in college are though entrance exam and college fee is already low so no scholarship or loan facility is there. But when you are preparing for NEET PG then if you are in top 10 in the batch then coaching institutes.they offer some discounts.

Campus Life

4

Yeah, for extracurricular activities there is annual Fest in which many events are organised including sports also. Apart from this there is VPL (VMMC premier League) for sports. There are labs too for all non clinical subjects.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel is good with air conditioned rooms. But washrooms are not attached. There is a mess on the ground floor. Regular cleaners are appointed to keep hostel clean. So you get a double room in first 3 years then a single room in last 2.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, seniors are always helpful as they tell us about the exam patterns, help us in studies. We are not just students of VMMC but a family always whenever there is wrong then we act together be it strike for NMC bill or violence against doctors.

Admission

NEET- UG examSo you have to compete for the seat in medical college and give this national exam. I personally took coaching from Allen career Institute. There was total of 150 seats in my college. You have to go through counselling procedure to take admission where you are appointed to college as per your rank in the entrance exam.

Faculty

5

As the institution is one of the best so the faculty is also one of the finest in the country. You can assist them in their research projects. Also, take extra classes if you are feeling some issues with the topics.

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell within the colleges but numerous are not dynamic and those who are dynamic do not offer great arrangements. As it were Srcc , LSR or St. Stephens offer pleasant placements. Most colleges offer arrangements between 3 - 4 lacs but over said colleges can give you situations with normal 8 lacs. But, I would prescribe you to not go for placements but higher things because it will increment your information and assist you to advance in your work and do it effectively whereas doing work fair after graduation will not allow you to regard merely continuously needed in the corporate world.
