Remarks

I have chosen this college because first of all it is a reputed college as Delhi university is a name in itself.It is very close to Malviya Nagar Metro station and from that you can walk and you are in college. It follows merit based procedure and various cutoffs is released for various courses on different dates,you can go to official site of Sri Aurobindo college for dates.I have chosen this college because I have interest in fashion and this college ranks 4 th in fashion society over other highly reputed colleges.I have used quora for finding various advantages and disadvantages of the college.One disadvantage is that it doesnÃƒÂ¤ÃƒÂ³Ã‚Â»t provide you hostel and various advantages like in this college all teachers are phd holders and it is located near many attractive places like Hauz khas and Qutub minar.

I have chosen this course because of this I will get a vast knowledge in commerce field.It has all the phd holder teachers and 3:2 male : female ratio and all expert teachers helps the student to better understand the subjects. Exams were held in March and then September and if you study according what you taught in a day and then revise it accordingly then it is not difficult but if you study vast syllabus one night before the exam then it is almost difficult for passing the exam

Placement Experience

Placements are not that much good for better future but highest package offered is 5 lakhs for BCom hons and average package is 2 - 3 lakhs per annum

College Events

You will enjoy your college life here. You will make many lifetime friends and you will make memories to cherish. It conducts parichay annual fest held in February and many talented students take part in this fest. All the books and journals are issued from the library. Bandwagons fashion society of Sri Aurobindo college run by group of senior students of 2 Nd and 3 rd year students and various other groups of your choice like drama, music, and dance etc.

Campus Life

It has infrastructure like that of government college should be and beautiful garden make the campus look more attractive and library is small and labs are good and it has all the equipments that student need

supportive and approachable who explains concepts really well, like pallavi mam and shweta mam
good campus life like cafeteria area, library, and classrooms
active campus life with good opportunities to interact with other students

Dislikes

could get a bit crowded when both the shifts have classes

the whole reason i chose jims kalkaji is beacuse of placements it is popular for placements it offers multiple placements after your 3rd or 4th year of specializtion different multiple companies come here to pick students.

THE ALL ROUNDER

Likes

The college has a very beautiful greeny campus.
The library is just the best thing that the college has , it is the largest in du, with computers study area all books and magazines newspaper and other necessities.
The students and teachers are very kind helpful ambitious and intelligent , you will learn a lot here.

Dislikes

The administration sometimes works too slowly regarding dew things.
The canteen is very big and food is also nice but in rain water gets concentrated there.

Placement Experience:

it is said that the placements of this college are good and average being 10LPA and 17 LPA the highest. Many companies come for the placement drive every year and many of seniors have got placement in their third year.

teaching faculty and curriculum of the college
research and business analytics is the first batch to get placed
seniors are supportive and friendly with juniors

Dislikes

campus has limited sports facility and activities.
there is no residential campus vibes as it is very small
college ROI is very poor as the fees is high

from third semister students get eligible for placement and the avg package is 12.5 and median is 11 and highest is 24.There is 90% placement record.MARCH, DELLOIT, ACCENTURE, TECH MAHINDRA are the few reputed companies coming into the campus.

M.A. POLITICAL SCIENCE IN DRC

We don't have classes in our respective colleges in masters . We have our classes in faculty of social science which is just opposite to drc building and the good thing is all students around 300 of study in same class together .
Great infrastructure, ac installed in the fss and satyakam building.
Highly qualified faculty and helpful throughout the course.

Dislikes

Since our classes are held in faculty of social sciences building and not in respective colleges so we don't get to experience the exposure of our colleges .
But what I have seen in drc while visiting for documentation work, the infrastructure is not really great and but they are building new ones and trying to make in better.
Fee is too high compared to other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of our course offers various branches of political science, like comparative politics, political theory, international relations, security studies, gender and ir, public administration, indian polity , social exclusion, etc which enriches your understanding of the domestic and international politics.

College and my 1st year

Likes

All girls college not male allowed in there without permission so everything feels right and safe
Conducts annual fests to change the vibe
Gotta know different types of people from different places

Dislikes

Student often get used to bad habits like smoking and drinking
To many protests everyone is doing protest even for the smallest inconvenience
Some teachers doesn't complete the syllabus they left it and students have to study on their own

Course Curriculum Overview:

Initially I wanted to choose physics honours with somehow I felt physics will get me to hard as per by 12 so I choose chemistry honours over physics honours and as if I am doing bsc so yeah it is giving me all the Chemistry by and I feeling alrighting am a learning will help me for job one day the classroom here are very small and very uncomfortable to set and study only thing for teaching I want to change for my department is the classrooms and examination schedule date sheet is also very bad for Delhi University like they change the date sheet 4 to 5 times within a month and till the one is not confirmed so yeah that's things

Moments of happiness

Likes

I liked the ration of girls and boys it's almost same .
The teaching method of teachers and the library.
College infrastructure and various opportunities and sports ground .

Dislikes

Events in college are usually too short like till 5 pm only .
Classes starts at 8:40 in winters atleast it should start by 10 .

Placement Experience:

English hons is not a course in which placement is that widespread as far as I'm aware . But our college provides placements for other courses like b.com etc and we have placement cell which keeps updating us on internship or placement opportunities and overall package is quite good .

The Dream College Life

Likes

The campus is completely different from the whole city, it is more cleaner and is quiet peaceful with various different beautiful views at different points and is not too big so could easily walk through the campus.
Has really great architecture of the buildings and is surrounded by really intelligent people including some over the top profs and some really great minds from the country.
The night life is completely different and is one of the best part of staying in campus.

Dislikes

some of the hostels are quiet old and need renovation.

Placement Experience:

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.

Fully solar energy used for electricity in Hostel and campus
Wi-Fi is working properly and fast all over the area.
Hostel and hostel mess are neat, well managed and hygienic

Dislikes

Sports facilities are not too well in this campus
There is zero spot of E- vehicle charging.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is newly introduced by seeing the upgradation of the industry by involving AI & ML in that work, this campus and course doing great work. There should be improvement in lab classes only and Exam are done easy to moderate level.

College Life Through Real Experience

I am in DU but the DU has many colleges under it and my college is one of them. I have applied for other colleges also but we can choose which college we want to go ourself it happens through CUET after that we get our college through our preference list and marks.I also got choosen in BHU and many other ones but choose this to get new experience and wider perspective about things as Delhi is very popular and people want to study here .I didn't get selected to other colleges under DU that was on my preference list was due to the cut off as cutt off for DU north campus university are very high and seats are less also many seats are reserved and there are quotas also.The cut off for South Campus are in between 650-550 that's how i get my college.The the admission occurs in rounds you can upgrade if you are not satisfied with your college but at one point you cannot upgrade as per your marks that is the suitable colkege you can get.CUET is the most preffered exam and to get into big government universities you have to give this .There are also universities that give admissions without CUET many private universities come under this category....Read More

Commendable

Okay, so this is a very interesting story at my time. There was an introduction of an entrance exam called CUET, where I appeared for written and I scored basic 690÷8000 we were told to make a reference list, according to this marks, we have obtained Obviously I wouldn't have chosen this college because it is a part of South campus. I have preferred all the north campus colleges over the South campus colleges, but having hard luck, I got this one. I was not happy to come here because I basically not belong to this place but When I have made friends over here, I have introduced to the teachers and introduced to the college environment now I feel good. Even I thought about the migration process but again and luckily it didn't happen. Yes, now I have money left. I need to spend it quite happily and yes, I am quite happy with my college and my overall experience is very healthy, very good....Read More
