Remarks

Had a great chance of being a finest engineering college. Not our school, this particular University campus has some magic in it which makes everyone joined here to fall in love with it. I am very sure that my 5 five years in this university is going to be best memories forever.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Its a University established 50 years ago and its 2nd ranked university in NIRF rankings. But School of Engineering os newly opened school and we are second batch. Its a B.tech+M.tech 5years course which is started aiming to produce ENGINEERS WITH SOCIAL KNOWLEDGE. The curriculum includes various non technical subjects accordingly. It will become the best choice for engineering if the curriculum designed is implemented in proper way. Structure of exam purely depends on the lecturer or profesor of the particular subject.

Placement Experience

1.5

As I already mentioned, its a new school in university and almost all other schools are not all related to School of Engineering as most of them are of Social sciences. The first batch goes out only after 3 more years. So there is no guarantee regarding this. I believe that this curriculum can produce excellent engineers, but only by proper implementation. I never heard of something like internship here in.

College Events

A orientation program was conducted in starting to explain the things. Freshers was the second one which was decently good. These are mentioned in particular of School of Engineering. Apart from these, there will be a number of events happening across the JNU campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities

We will find the fee structure almost similar to that of many NITs. But after joining, eventually you will come to know that we are paying very high fee when compared all other schools in the University other than MBA.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not availed any scholarship as my father is a government employee. Even I never minded to know about such things as I sure that I will never be eligible for those. But as I listened, it was similar to NITs.

Campus Life

4.5

There is a sports club for our school which is full of politics and never cared of it as they won't consider tallent for selections. But you are always free to go and play in JNU stadium along with your friends. Decent facilities are available to play Cricket, volleyball, basketball, football in stadium. Badminton & TT courts and gym with some basic equipment are available at hostel itself. Lab facilities are not bad.

Alumni/Alumna

We are the second batch in school after it was started. So there will be no alumini in our school. And when comes to seniors, there is no chance of ragging(ofcourse few of them tried it, but we faced and opposed it) as the rules here are very strict in University. Few of them are very supportive in many aspects(related to both educational and extracurricular).

Admission

I got admission through JoSAA with JEE mains ranking. I attempted mains first time in January in which I acquired around 93 percentile. Then later in April, in the second mains I acquired around 96.7 percentile. Which was considered for JoSAA counseling in which I got this in second round.

Faculty

3

In first sem we faced few difficulties without proper faculty for few subjects. Being a new school, they are trying to get permanent staff gradually. Ofcourse there is some problem with some faculty we have now, but I am hoping that they will solve every issue eventually.

The education tree, the highest package that someone got from our college was of around 60 lakhs and the profile offered to him was in finance. The percentage of students getting placements are around 8290%. My plans after getting this degree includes to do a post graduation in the fields of business only and then get

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell within the colleges but numerous are not dynamic and those who are dynamic do not offer great arrangements. As it were Srcc , LSR or St. Stephens offer pleasant placements. Most colleges offer arrangements between 3 - 4 lacs but over said colleges can give you situations with normal 8 lacs. But, I would prescribe you to not go for placements but higher things because it will increment your information and assist you to advance in your work and do it effectively whereas doing work fair after graduation will not allow you to regard merely continuously needed in the corporate world.
