Remarks

Good- Everything about the college is Good, from faculty to studies, from infrastructure to sports, from recreation to food, from location to beautiful campus. Bad- I don't find any bad.

Entrance Preview

I appeared for KIITEE 2010 which is conducted by KIIT University only my rank in the test was 1289 through which I got admission here score I don't remember sorry.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is totally according to the UGC and AICTE guidelines as it is a deemed university accredited by both UGC and AICTE. Further, it also encourages students for research and training on new technologies in every field. You can get whatsoever help you need from the college to pursue your personal dreams to achieve success in different areas of Science, Arts and technology.

Internships Opportunities

Yes the college provides internship but have not heard much about it for the Engineering courses. In P.Hd. and M.Tech courses there are internships with stipend of around 10,000-15,000 per month.

Placement Experience

5

Kalinga Institute of Industrial technology is known for its Placements and Job Opportunities all over India. As many as 100+ companies visit the campus every year most of which are MNCs and some of them are even a part of Fortune 500(World) and almost all of them are a part of Fortune 500(India) list.

College Events

4.5

If you are talking of events, festivals and celebrations, KIIT is the place to be. Almost all the festivals are celebrated here and the national festivals are celebrated with grandeur. Major events that are organized here are: KIIT FEST- Annual event, KIIT Premier League- Sports event, KIIT Cultural fest- Annual event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is a bit on the higher side in comparison to the Government colleges but, the infrastructure, life experience, personality development , learning and Placement opportunities that it provides are worth paying for. Also after paying the College and hostel fees, you don't need to spend even a penny on anything else because the college will provide you with all the stuff big or small from a Laptop to a Drawing board pin, Books to Bedsheets and Pillow covers, just everything.

Fees and Financial Aid

KIIT is very kind and generous to those who deserve it, forget scholarship, it funds the whole education of 15000 Tribal students, from nursery to P.Hd. and it is a record. Also the meritorious students get 50-100% scholarship after KIITEE.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is awesome here, thanks to the beautiful location and campus. There are so many places to hang out with firends. Gender ratio is on the higher side, say around 80 girls for every 100 boys(not talking about Mechanical though :P) KIIT promoted extracurricular activities a lot and for this they have different societies for different activities. Competitions on Debates, speeches, art and craft, F1 vehicles, Robotics are organized every now and then.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostels here are very good with all the facilities and amenities. Most of the Hostels have personal playing grounds, all have big Mess fitted with large LCD TVs which u can use to watch late night matches too. Quality of food is fine, though at some point you will end up getting frustrated be it here or anywhere else in the world, eating same food again and again every week. But, recently I have been hearing that the quality of food has improved a lot. Also, you have a small shop for late night maggi, cold drinks etc.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, KIIT has a big alumni network and the best part is that the university keeps on organizing meets for its alumni every now and then in almost all cities of India. Also, there is an alumni group through which you can connect with your seniors and juniors. We see a lot of job- referrals out there.

Exam Structure

Examinations are not too frequent, session is divided into two semesters, and each sem has One Mid-sem examination and a End-sem examination whose score cumulatively account for the net performance of the student. Lab examinations only happen with End semester examinations.

Faculty

4

In KIIT, they focus a lot on the quality, knowledge and experience of the faculty. Most of the faculty are either IIT/NIT graduates, post-graduates or P.Hd. holders with extensive amount of research experience faculty is classified into three groups on the basis of their qualifications and experience into: Asst. Professor, Associate Professor, Professor. In addition to these, they are a number of lab instructors and attendants who are also quite experienced in the field.

Our college give good placement but packages are very low package start with 150000 and end in 700000 . But you study properly then you try pursuing higher studies. 40% students placed but below 400000 . after completing you try off campus placement then you secured good salary on good company.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.
