Truth of NSUT

Placements and the lush green campus is the only good thing in Nsut and except this everything counts in bad and the behaviour of administration is even worst. Peoples get to know about the exam schedule one or two days before the exam day even the teachers don't know about that. And for classes there is only one modern block which is the APJ block which is only for first year students and others there is old style classes the typical government college type where all the fans even don't work. The library is also good, the books are almost irrelevant but the noise cancellation is praiseworthy. But on the other side the playgrounds are not enough for even 1 branch. Only one court for badminton 2 for basketball and only one cricket ground. Grounds are well maintained but the only badminton court present is also open air. One more thing which is praise worthy is Cleanliness is well maintained everywhere.

I chose this course because as we all heard from 10 class onwards that cs is the branch with the highest placements so I don't get cs so I preferred to settle with IT. Faculty student ratio is poor. Only one faculty for around 60 -70 students. And even that faculty also don't prefer to teach. As everwhere some teachers are there which always support students and remain friendly and try their best to teach best of their knowledge and some are which don't even come to class and if even they come they will only read the book as it is written. Nothing to do with the understanding of students this is same the case with nsut also

Placements are one the few things which count as pros in nsut. The highest package goes around 50 LPA. And an average of top branches is around 7-8 LPA. Almost 80% of students get placed well. Big companies like Google, Microsoft, Facebook visit nsut for campus placement. But only a few offer work abroad. Almost all placement is for Indian branches.

I m just in the first year with even the online classes so I don't know much about this but the hostel fee is very high in nsut. And the worst admin if any scholarship will be there they post the notification only on the last day on the notice of their website which is the only place where students can check the notice. And course fee of 190000 is too much compared to what we are receiving in return. As in the last, we need to study from youtube then why are we paying such a large amount every year just to get a stamp on our degree.

The administration of nsut is so so greedy they only take a fee from us and funds from the government but don't reflect them anywhere. Fests are far away they don't even throw a freshers party. And even earlier when fest used to happen then also fest was of the name. So cheap and devoid of any fun. Library contain lot of book there are two floors on library but these are not updated. All books are based on the previous versions whose support has even been discontinued far earlier. It appears like no new book has been purchased in last 5 6 years. There is nothing like sports and extra curricular activities in nsut.
