Dhruv's Review On IIT Bombay - Indian Institute Of Technology - [IITB], Mumbai

IIT BOMBAY was my dream, Last year I didn't get admission but I attempted JEE advanced a second time and hot admission. I am very happy and proud. College is superb. IIT Bombay is the best college because the atmosphere is a very nice and competitive, a very big and beautiful campus. Placement records are outstanding. So I choose this college.

Courses are very practical and amazing. All the subjects are being taught nicely. Profs are well qualified and helping. The system of TA is also amazing. TA helps to clear doubts and teach the tutorials after the lecture. So the course curriculum is superb.

Internships are offered here. I am fresher and don't know much about this but the mailbox gets some emails daily about internships. Some technical clubs give great exposure to technology. Mars rover club which makes Mars rover, Electric racing car club which goes outside India to compete, UMIC club, aeromodelling club, E&RC club, ITSP, etc.

The reason why the best students in india come to IITB is the placement records. Every year almost every student gets placed. The average package of the last year was around 18 LPA . and the highest package is 1.6 Cr. So if you come to college th n forget worrying about getting a job. Even if you are an average performer then also you are gonna get a nice salary.

Fees are slightly high but the facilities and atmosphere are up to the mark. Tution fees are 1,00,000 ruppes per semester. Hostel fees and mess charges sum up roughly to 54,000 per semester. And including other charges, you can expect to pay 1,50,000 per semester.

Feel very sad to say that I haven't yet visited the campus because of this bloody CORONA. But have seen many images of the campus through seniors and listened to many many praises about the beauty of the campus. The campus provides the perfect environment for everything you like. Sports, music, tech events, cultural events, all these things happen here. The campus is so green. Every hostel has its own playground and canteen. Resources are available very easily.

Hostels are pretty good compared to other colleges. Two roommates living in one room. Every hostel has a separate mess, canteen, playground, etc. Green environment makes air quality perfect and hostel are so good for this reason.

The admission process is quite simple. You have to give JEE mains first. After you qualify it you have to sit in India's one of the toughest competitive exams JEE ADVANCED. After that, you get AIR(all India rank). JOSAA conducts the admission process based on rank. No interview or GD.
