School of Engineering.

Remarks :

The management is fine. There is less of politics happening in our college.

Entrance Preview :

I took the Kerala Entrance and got into the merit quota. I opted for this college because it was quiet near to my place and also the college had a good remark.

Course Curriculum Overview :

My course curriculum of the entire B,Tech is of 4 years consisting of total 8 semesters. The first year would be common subjects for all branches. There would be in total 52 papers in the whole course. The specialization comes in the 2nd year. The electives will come in the final year only.

Internships Opportunities :

No, our college does not provide internships. We had to do internships outside the campus during the last year of the course.

Placement Experience :

The placements held in the campus are less. Our college is still in its growing stage as its been only a few years of now that Engineering has started. Still there were some small companies that had come to our college for placements. Some good amount of students were also placed.

College Events :

There are many celebrations held in our college. For the engineering department we have the Technical fest, annual day, Onam celebrations, Christmas celebrations. For the MBA department we also have management fest. For the MCA department we also have the MCA fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

As i was into the merit quota, my fees structure was 60,000 INR for 1 year. According to your financial status you also get a reduction in the fees structure for those in the merit quota of 35,000 INR. The management quota fees is like 1,25,000 INR as far as i know.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I was not into the scholarship. But some of my friends had it. Their fees structure was 6,000 INR for every year. Also there are loan facilities availed for students who need it. Educational loan is provided for students who have financially hardship.

Campus Life :

My college life was quite good. We kind of enjoyed it. Our college is mixed. We had equal number of boys and girls in our class. The extracurricular activities includes dance and music, robotic labs for interested students. We have a basketball and kabbadi court in our college.

Hostel Facilities :

I was not in the hostel. I was a day scholar. We had the transportation facility in our college to my home. Some of my friends were in the hostel and from them i have heard that their hostel life was great. Their rooms and bathrooms were neat and clean. The food in the canteen is not that good as i have had it. So the food alone is not commendable. But you have good hotels near by were you get homely foods.

Alumni/Alumna :

There are alumni meetings held in our college every year. We meet up. Its a nostalgic feel that we get after meeting up.

Exam Structure :

The university exams are held in every 6 months gap. We had 6 subjects in every semesters and also 2 labs. Apart from the university exams, we had internals held in our college. There are in total 2 internals in every semesters. The average mark scored in the internals would be added to the final university exams.

Faculty :

The faculty of the college is very good. They are quite friendly too. They help and guide you through out the course. They are well qualified who mostly are M.Tech graduates of which some are PHD graduates as well.We also had well qualified lab assistants to help us in the lab sessions.

Actually placement cell is a bit week the company's is not that reputed and they offer monthly salary of 12k to 15k. Probably some startup companies. And many students choose that and work for 1 or 2 years to gain experience and then they apply for better opportunities.

From the 3rd year onwards we could attend placement interviews and many companies used to approach our college but mostly IT companies as I was in civil dept the construction companies were very less or NIL. In our batch, most of the students got placed and many offer letters but the only disadvantage was the offers were not from the core companies.
