Deepak Soni's Review On University Of Allahabad - [AU], Allahabad

It was like a dream come true to be a student in AU. I qualfied PGAT and got selected. This is one of the best Universities in UP. It has best campus, faculty, curriculum.

AU has very competitive curriculum compared to any top B schools. Every semester has 6-8 books to study & the best part is that u may get a chance to be tought by the book author himself if you are lucky enough.

That time there was no internship. I am not sure about present situation. Currently AU offers professional courses like MBA as well & it is among top competitive B Schools. I am sure all top companies must be visiting for best students.

Allahabad University delivers one of the Prime Minister of India. That is a milestone in itself. Students for Allahabad University are around the world serving their best. University provides best of candidates to be choosen by top IT companies. Company like Wipro, HCL, Infosys, HP, Sapient, Convergys, TCS etc are regularly setting up campus selections. AU students are also serving Google & Facebook.

There placement Mela, Alumni talk, Annual function and so many educational activities are conducted in Universities. Placement Mela- every year AU campaigns a placement drive which is open to all AU students from any streams. More than 200 companies participate and select bunch of good students.

Fee is far less than any of the college. I would say cheapest n best. When i studied it was just 1800 Rs per year. If you score more than 60% in entrance, you will be eligible for hostel too and that is 6k-8k per annum with food.

Allahabad University provide scholarship to schedule cast and backward classes. There was no loan facilities that time but I am not sure about now.

All alumni and seniors are very helpful. Always go to one who has better records than you. Because you may end up talking to a politician instead of a good senior.

Exam structure are simple and robust. It covers the whole syllabus and aligned to current market needs. It is very chilled. Schedules are announced long before exam so that you get proper time to study. Syllabus are finished on time so that student get proper time interval to prepare. You can visit to your teacher anytime to discuss your queries.

All the faculties are Dr. And well qualified in the subject they are delivering. Some of them wrote the books recommended and being tought in Universities. This is an immense pleasure and luck for a student to get the opportunity to attend the sessions of great authors/professors.
