My college life

Keeping the cost structure and ease of finding a college, I believe that my college is appropriate for students of two types. One, who want to pursue a correspondence course besides doing other professional course somewhere else. Others, who want to gain knowledge and experience of the faculty.

The course curriculum of the college is such that it provides an in depth focus on the traditional theories of subjects. Because this syllabus is under the supervision of the University, therefore recent changes are less reflected in the syllabus. One drawback that I would point out is that even today the Companies Act, 1956 is a part of the syllabus whereas in reality Companies Act, 2013 has already replaced the 1956 Ac

No, being a government college offering traditional courses(as much as i know) my college does not offers placements. However if you're doing Law then there is internship. This internship is done under a practicing advocate.

Cultural and sporting events are regularly conducted in the college. There is an annual meet of the college where all the students are entitled to participate. Also, debates, sports, and related activities are conducted frequently.

The fee structure is very feasible for the students as in the first place it is a government college and on the second students from not only the city but also from the adjoining towns and villages come to study here.

Scholarship is available to meritorious students who belong to the less privileged section of the society. Loans are not given to students as this aspect is not dealt with by the college.Many students have availed concession in their academic fees.

Well, the aspect of labs and sports is also satisfactorily fulfilled by the college. There are labs for chemistry, physics, biology, zoology, and other branches of science. Besides it has the biggest library in the state. Also sports are also conducted.

No. Although I have not opted for a hostel, but hostel facility is available only for students who opt for a 'regular' course and not a correspondence one. Again hostel is affordable for the students and in a green area of the city.

Senior students are helpful in the college as the provide you with guidance and support you need. The alumni is however not formalised. Alumni meets are not conducted, students may at their option maintain contact with their fellow friends.

I passed the my higher secondary back in 2015. Then i had to do something. So i chose doing graduation from Meerut College. For that i applied through the online portal. A token number was generated and after some days the merit list was uploaded by the college. The names of the students eligible to take admission as per the merit list are displayed outside the college.

The faculty aspect is satisfactory. The faculty has deep knowledge and experience of the field and subjects for which they teach the students. They are also supportive and also provide guidance to students in need.
