As it is a Government Engineering college, seats are limited eg: 60 through WBJEE and some lateral entry seats through JELET (Conducted by WBJEE} To get admission in this college you have to score a good rank in WBJEE, and then you have to attend centralized counseling . Class 12th current electricity and magnetism chapters are greatly influenced me to choose this engineering branch, Faculty and student ratio is 1:12 now. ( April 2021) The faculties are well qualified. Most of them are PHD holders. They are very helpful. Our college principal is from the electrical engineering department. The quality of teaching is very good than other colleges. There is a semester exam every 6 months after e.g. yearly twice. There is 4 CA exam (internal exam) in every semester and 2 PA (practical) in every semester exam. There are some marks for attendance also. The end semester exam has 70 marks, the internal exam 25 marks, and 5 marks for attendance for the theory exam.

As it is a new college only one batch is passed till now. Some of them are placed in TCS, WIPRO, COGNIZANT, INFOSYS, etc. Many of our seniors are placed through off-campus drive also. Some of our seniors cracked the GATE exam with under AIR 900 rank. The highest package is 5lakh and the average package is 3.8 LPA.

This is a GOVT college. Fees are very less. For CE, ME, EE Rs. 3000/ semester. And for CSE, ECE Rs. 6000/semester. Exam fess Rs 1200 per semester. There are many scholarships Like SVMCM, NSP, OASIS. Besides this, there are some TFW seats in every branch. There is a WBFS scheme also. The amount of scholarship for SVMCM 60000/year etc. You can apply for a private scholarship also.

The name of the annual fest cum tech fest is ESPERANZA. Every year from March to April it is held. There are 7000+ books in the library. There are many journals available in the library. The classroom is modern, well equipped, furnished. Every classroom has a projector. Every year there is an inter-departmental football tournament. Besides this, there are many games. There are many clubs on our campus. Some of them are the tech-o-nicks club, debate club, etc.

Every year WBJEE conducts the WBJEE Entrance test for class 12th pass students. After that, there is a counseling round. If you cleared it and got a provisional admission letter then you got a chance to admission. The basic criteria are 45%in the Class 12 exam. Class 11 and Class 12 syllabus is enough to crack this exam.
